Works well but kinda pricey. You could make one yourself if you can find a strip of metal this thin and drill the screw and bolt holes. I butt welded the two pieces together with makes this way stronger since the center is what will take most of the force. I then painted it with appliance spray paint which I think this is what is what painted with to begin with. This included deck screws which where NOT white to match the metal strip. For this price you think they would do that for you, but I did it myself.

This is a great product for the do it yourself type person who owns a few tools. The Door Security Pro XL is a time saver, the metal is cut, screw holes are counter sunk and the metal is painted and the install in most cases should be quick, mine took about 25 minutes, and seems very strong. I would recommend and buy this product again. Standard shipping was fast

Ugly but very sturdy
Very strong and functional but ugly as hell. I would not use anywhere you dont want ugly.
