We were very excited to try these but the \"laces\" are too big for his shoes even though they are the child versions. So, we did some creative lacing to make them fit a bit tighter on the shoe. A couple of weeks later one of them broke. On top of that the laces pop open every few days. He's figured out how to snap them back together but it is annoying. Now a month later, two have broken making one shoe hard to keep on and on the other foot they keep coming undone. I do not recommend these for children or anyone who is active in any way. My kid isn't too hard on shoes, but these were not mean for any type of real activity beyond walking. My daughter has orthotics for her feet and ankles. Finding shoes to fit over them almost always means lace up. She was getting frustrated with the laces when we found these.
