Finally found this book!!!!!!
I have been trying to find this book for several years. As an 8th grader in 1962-63 this was the library book we all got on the list to read. It was one of the first young adult books that came around with real time issues of girls in Jr high. There were books about young women going into nursing, secretarial , and teaching (the trinity of jobs thought to be proper for girls at that time) but not many about girls of that age. I know exactly how her daughter and friends felt when rushing home to find the next chapter. I read this novel several times before moving onto more adult themes . I love that there are many more books available for young adult readers now. THANK YOU for bringing thisbook out again

My favorite early teen book!
This was my favorite book in 5th grade! I have been searching for this book for years but it was out of print and I couldn't afford the collectors editions. I was so thrilled when I realized The Pink Dress would be printed again in paperback. I ordered it even before it was printed. When it finally arrived and read it in one day! It is still just as good as I remember it being over 40 years ago! Love this story!

Best book for Eighth grade to high school age young ladies!
We have in our family one of the original prints. It’s been passed around so much for so many years that it started falling apart. We were beyond devastated. In recent years however we discovered a much sought after rerelease of this book and we have bought one for every budding daughter and friends daughter and friends of friends daughter. It’s a true gem and I would absolutely recommend this book. We will be an avid Pink Dress book buyer for years. Well done.

Lived up to the hype!
I don't remember how I heard about this book. No doubt through my interest in girl's series books. When I read all of the glowing reviews and looked around and saw how expensive it was, I couldn't justify it but I did put an email alert on Ebay so I would be informed whenever one came up for sale. Lo and behold, when one did, and I re-researched it, I saw that it was on Kindle for 9.99. I just finished it, and I do see why people love it so. I still prefer Rosamunde du Jardin, whose stories are a little more complex, but this one really drew me in from the very beginning. Although sometimes, I grew very frustrated with how blind Sue was to her so-called friends, when she finally woke up and smelled the coffee, the resolution and climax were very satisfying. It was very realistic to how teens would think and behave back in the 50's and probably even today. They are immature and insecure and very silly sometimes. The book had some surprises regarding her new cool boyfriend, Dave, who had quite a good character arc! In parts, it kind of reminded me of a John Hughes movie, or Can't Buy me Love.

My sister & I laughed like a couple of hyenas as we admitted this to ...
Haven't seen this book since I was in junior high , back in the dark ages. A thrill to have it now as my own. It was almost impossible to check it out of the school library because it was always checked out by some lucky girl before me. Honestly , I don't know how I got lucky; probably every other girl had her turn. However, as I began reading ,I realized I wasn't finding anything familiar in the book. My sister & I laughed like a couple of hyenas as we admitted this to each other. We both had an idea that we thought we remembered but , alas , hers was totally wrong , & mine remains to be seen. Nevertheless, this sweet enduring book deserves full star rating just for being the Pink Dress.

Timeless teen girl reading
I first read this wondeful novel in my teens, loved and read repeatedly. Then unfortunately my mother introduced me to used bookstores at which I traded my copy of the Pink Dress in for Sweet Valley High series and have regretted it since. I'm thrilled to read Sue's story again even if it's digital format.

A valuable book from the past
I read this book when I was in the 8th grade and love it. I checked out of the library so many times and read it. I have been looking for it for years and was so excited to see it reprinted. I can't wait to read it again.

Happy it's on Kindle
I've searched for this book for many years, but the only copies were priced too high. It was a happy surprise to find it on Kindle.
