Q: I have very long and thick hair. If I wanted to ombre it or add highlights, would this be a good product?

I think it might work for you. I've used it a couple times with no issues but I make sure there is AT LEAST 6 months between bleaching. If you have sensitive skin, you might want to explore other brands. Doing an allergy test every time you use bleach or dye is crucial. The hair loss mentioned in other comments could be caused by 1. Didn't do an allergy test with a small amount of hair before bleaching all of it. 2. The scalp was too sensitive. 3. Bleach and developer were not measured correctly. 4. Did not follow the instructions provided. 5. It could have been beyond the expiration date. I had some hair loss after the first time I bleached my hair because it was something new and my scalp overreacted.

All Hair is different, twenty minutes probably does go two shades lighter, but you also have to realize how many shades there are now a days. To get my bleach blonde tone I leave it in for a little less than an hour. It's recommended not to leave it in longer than an hour or your hair will like fall out or something, plus it stops working anyways. This product does work, you would would just have to check the shade every 10 minutes until you get the color you want. If you use it just make sure to do all the necessary care tips before bleaching it and after.

Q: can someone tell me the difference between volume 40 and 30?

40 is a stronger bleach than 30. You have to wait longer for 30 or 20 to achieve the result of 40, but a lower level is more ideal to have less damage. Either way, keep checking the sample hair every 5 or 10 minutes to get an idea of how long to wait. Good luck.

Q: I want to do a multi color ombré on my dark brown hair. but i can only have my hair like that for 5 weeks. what will happen if i colour my hair dark?

Hi Ashleigh! If you are only able to have your ombre for a few weeks and then you need to go back to dark brown, you will need to fill the color in with something like a gold or red. Otherwise, the dark pigment in your hair will fall out and the hair will become muddy and green colored. This is due to there being a lack of pigment in the cortex of the hair, which inhibits the color molecules from adhering to the hair. We hope this helps! Great results in short time

45mins and the level of bleach was amazing. I have dark brown, fine thin hair and it lifted a couple of shades close to very light blonde. It brought out the Manic Panic Amplified colours out so beautifully. The bleach smell of this one is not toxic or make my eyes cry. Did not break my hair strands, make it brittle or weaken it. Biggest disadvantage though- Dried my hair out. Had to invest in massive moisturisers for my hair. I would still buy again. Best bleach results I've had compared to others I've tried.

You should put good amount

I was afraid of the amount of the powder but it’s really good and its so effective bleacher but you should apply good amount of it on the desired area specially if you have dark hair.but definitely recommend this product

Useful tips

I have light brown hair and I previously bleached my hair at a salon.The product came little bit open and part of the developer was licking inside the box…I followed the instructions as mentioned in the package. I left the product on my hair for about 40 minutes and it only could lift maybe 2 tones (mostly orange tone).My suggestion is that if you want more “light” bleaching use a blue powder with 30 or 40 volume cream.
