I was filming for school and I didn't want to use my college's equipment. I bought this to use with my own camera and it did as good as a job as the $100 microphones my college uses. I had to buy this as my camera doesn't have SLR connection. I filmed a documentary and didn't have problems with sound.

Given the price, this is a decent product for entry level.A few things to note as features:1. very long wire, which can be a pro or con, depending on how you see it. Pro: you can be very far away from your camera/phone; Con: a lot wire entanglement to deal with2. sound quality is very clear, but don't expect any deep bass out of it or any special sound quality like those you would get from $100+ mics3. I have only recently received this product so have not been able to testify for its durability, but I'd imagine as long as you don't bash it and just for its normal use, this mic should last fairly long period of time.

It works well. Be I like the long cord. Just be sure to unplug it before you playback your videos. At first I couldn't hear any audio, but then I figured out the phone/laptop thought that headphones we're plugged into the Jack.

I’m impressed how good it records in relation to the cost. I used it to record a video for a YouTube channel. A different brand without an internal battery did not record as loud and with the same quality.

Lousy audio kills its usability completely.Hiss, hiss, hiss all day long.I'm not an amateur when it comes to audio, but also needed a budget lav microphone. This was a mistake I'll not make again.Skip this one. Save yourself time and trouble...unless you like lots of hiss.

You have to hold the mic right in front of your lips. Does not pick up anything on my lapel or more than 3 inches from mouth. Terrible.
