My hair looks and feels great!
I have naturally a darker ash blonde hair that with age is starting to darken a little bit further. My skin is very fair with pink undertones and I always have to use a cool tone dye, generally an ash shade. During the spring and summer months I do like to lighten it up. Sometimes I have my hair professionally highlighted and my colorist uses Schwarzkopf dye which always looks great. I had been dying all over out of a box simply to save some money and have tested a variety of different brands and colors, generally with poor results. It tends to stray toward an orange shade which is horrible and usually box dye does a lot of damage to my hair which I despise. I had landed on L'oreal superior preference in 9 1/2A Lightest Ash Blonde which was actually pretty good. Minimal if any orange tones that I could easily wash out with a purple shampoo and minimal damage. I found out the Schwarzkopf box dyes were being sold in stores and was excited because I know they make good products. I had originally wanted to try the Keratin Color because it comes with the pre-treatment to protect you hair, but alas they have very minimal selection of colors in that product and the two blondes were very light and looked to golden to me as well. So I landed on the Ultime in the 9.3 Icy blonde because that seemed the closest to the color I had been using in L'oreal for all over color. I was very pleased! The mix was of course easy to throw together. it didn't smell ultra bleach-y or make my scalp tingle. Also I have a TON of hair. Its only to my shoulder blades but it's about 3x as thick as normal people's hair and a lot of box dyes don't have enough product to cover it all. The Ultime had more than enough to cover it all, though with a few inches growth I would have to get a second box I think. I left it on plenty long because the Schwarzkopf website suggests that sometimes the orange hue comes from not leaving it on long enough to fully process. Washed it out regularly. Put on the after care product - which DOES have an overwhelming perfume-y scent. I used the whole tube because it's thin and I have a ton of hair. The scent does deter me from wanting to use it multiple times anyhow. I also used my thick expensive conditioner for good measure. Rinsed it out after 5+ minutes. Let it air dry for a while then blow drier and I couldn't believe how soft my hair felt. I'm amazed that my hair doesn't seem very damaged. I will of course be deep conditioning anyhow but it didn't cause me much damage. Honestly. My hair doesn't look orange and Im very happy!

It was extremely easy to use although it takes about 45-50 minutes
After trying several brands that left me brassy I landed on this one and I'm thrilled with the results. No brass AT ALL so I didn't have to do an additional toner treatment. It was eccentric easy to use and although it takes about 45-50 minutes, it didn't burn or break my already processed hair. I followed the root touch up directions and applied the dye just to the roots for 35 minutes and then applied the rest and worked it in for an additional 10-15 minutes. I hope they never discontinue this because it's incredible and looks and feels professional. It left beautiful subtle high and low light as well.I highly recommend this. If your hair is darker than is shown on the box I wouldn't recommend it though. It is very light and true to what's shown on the box.

it cannot lift hair 2 levels, as advertised.
I have natural light/medium blonde hair and I was looking to make it an "elsa" blonde, so I bought this at walmart for around $10.00. I left it on for 45 minutes and followed the directions perfectly. It didn't lighten my hair at all what so ever, it made no difference what so ever. I was greatly disappointed and felt as if I wasted my money but the "after Care elixer" smelled amazing and worked very well.
