The MeshNet Wireless Temperature Sensor, MN-ENV-T, provides an intuitive way to reliably monitor temperature in indoor environments. The MeshNet System utilizes the 2.4GHz frequency range allowing for global usage. Each MeshNet sensor can be tailored through the user defined parameters to provide the appropriate responsiveness & battery life. The wireless sensors provide highly accurate temperature and barometric pressure readings; as well as a pulse counter and a discrete input. Transmission reliability is provided by each sensor having the capability to both transmit and receive data. The receiving capability enables sensors to confirm the reception of data transmissions. Missed confirmations trigger additional transmissions throughout the available channels. All MeshNet devices report the strength of the transmissions they receive, allowing areas that may be susceptible to interference to be identified and addressed proactively (e.g. adding repeaters). A simplistic setup process was achieved in the MeshNet System. Merely, connect the sensor to the controller using the linking cable and apply power to the units. Once the sensor's LED starts blinking the linking is completed. You can now disconnect the linking cable deploy the sensor. The MeshNet sensors achieve battery efficiency by spending the majority of their time in sleep mode. They awake at a user defined rate and calculate the sensor values. Next they transmit the data if an alarm became active or when a transmission was scheduled. The sensors listen momentarily to receive a confirmation then return to sleep mode. This provides an ideal balance between energy efficiency and transmission reliability.
