These plate separators work fine, but they are not soft, kind of stiff.

Bought these to protect my Polish Pottery dishes in the cabinet. They work great. I don’t find them to be too stiff as others have mentioned. They do work best for plates, however I did put the small ones in between my bowls (although they don’t fit as great there. Wish they had a medium size as the large is too large (would have to be cut) and the small too small for the bowls). Overall, I would recommend.

These are not really felt in the traditional sense - nothing like the felt you would get at the fabric store.I needed dividers on a quick turn-around as we were clearing out Grandma’s before putting it on the market after her passing - so I didn’t have the schedule flexibility to return them & order something else.The synthetic material is very stiff & thin (about 1/2 the thickness of normal felt). They must be heat cut in stacks because the edges are hard and the pieces come stuck together, which is why I rated them low on “easy to use.”Because the material is very stiff, the large rounds don’t nestle well between dinner plates unless you cut them down. That forces a larger gap which makes it tight to get a dozen plates into a shins/dish a storage case (I’m using the Sorbus hard-side set & my 12 Lennox dinner plates fit just fine using thicker regular felt that I had cut myself).Some spots on the edges are hard enough that they could scratch a delicate band on rimmed China (I bought these for an antique set with 18K gold rimmed edges that were applied over the porcelain). I ended up taking pinking shears and trimming of the hard edges. It was a pain, but better than scratching the gold.Basically they’re cheaply made and I should have paid a little more to get a quality product, rather than base my decision on price & delivery date.

I recently did a kitchen update which included all new dishes. A lot of the old dishes had scratches from having to slide across another to pull out of the cabinet which makes them look dirty to me even when clean. I wanted to avoid that with the new porcelain dishes and these are exactly what was needed. They provide the protection I was looking for and help keep my dishes looking new.

My wife and I were using paper towels to sorta separate/protect dishes. One day I said to her that there's got to be something out there already to do this and we had no problems finding it here. This precut felt cloth plate, saucer and pan, skillet etc. is just what we were looking for to buffer breakables and scratchables.

Just what I wanted and cost effective!
