Perfect for Mountain Camping—Warm, Durable, and Comfortable
**Jessie Kidden Mens Waterproof Hiking Pants****Perfect for Mountain Camping—Warm, Durable, and Comfortable**I recently picked up a pair of the Jessie Kidden Mens Waterproof Hiking Pants for our annual mountain camping trips, and they have quickly become a favorite. These pants offer everything you need for outdoor adventures in cold, wet conditions, making them an essential part of my camping gear.**What I Liked:**- **Waterproof and Windproof**: The waterproof fabric is excellent for keeping me dry during unexpected rain or snow. I’ve worn these pants in some pretty rough weather, and they’ve consistently kept the elements out. The windproof feature also adds an extra layer of protection, keeping me warm even when the wind picks up.- **Fleece Lined for Warmth**: The fleece lining is a game-changer for staying warm in colder temperatures. These pants provide excellent insulation without being overly bulky, making them ideal for winter camping trips. The fleece is soft and comfortable against the skin, adding to the overall comfort.- **Durable Construction**: These pants are built to last. The material feels tough and durable, able to withstand the rigors of outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and fishing. I’ve worn them through rough terrain, and they’ve held up beautifully with no signs of wear or tear.- **Comfortable Fit**: The fit is comfortable and allows for easy movement, which is crucial when hiking or setting up camp. They’re not too tight or restrictive, and the elastic waistband provides a bit of give, which is great for layering. I’ve found them to be comfortable for all-day wear, whether I’m hiking up a mountain or relaxing by the campfire.- **Multiple Pockets**: The pants come with several pockets that are both functional and secure. The zippered pockets are perfect for keeping essentials like keys, a phone, or a multi-tool safe and dry. The placement of the pockets is convenient, and they’re roomy enough to carry what I need without being cumbersome.- **Versatile Use**: While I primarily use these pants for camping, they’re versatile enough for a range of outdoor activities. Whether it’s hiking, skiing, or even just taking the dog for a walk in cold weather, these pants are up to the task. They’re also stylish enough to wear casually, which is a nice bonus.**What I Didn’t Like:**- **Limited Color Options**: While the pants come in a few colors, the selection is somewhat limited. It would be nice to have more options to choose from, especially if you’re looking to coordinate with other outdoor gear. However, the available colors are neutral and versatile, so this is a minor issue.- **Slightly Heavy for Mild Weather**: The insulation and waterproofing make these pants perfect for cold and wet conditions, but they can be a bit heavy and warm for milder weather. If you’re planning to hike in fluctuating temperatures, you might find them a bit too warm when the sun is out. For colder climates, though, they’re perfect.- **Zipper Quality**: While the zippers on the pockets are functional, they feel a bit less sturdy than the rest of the pants. I haven’t had any issues with them yet, but they could be more robust to match the overall durability of the pants. It’s something to keep an eye on with extended use.**Bottom Line:**The Jessie Kidden Mens Waterproof Hiking Pants are an excellent choice for anyone who spends time outdoors in cold, wet conditions. They’re warm, durable, and comfortable, making them ideal for activities like mountain camping, hiking, skiing, and more. While they might be a bit heavy for milder weather and could benefit from a few more color options, these are minor considerations compared to the overall performance and quality of the pants. I love wearing them for our annual mountain camping trips, and they’ve kept me warm and dry in some challenging conditions. If you’re looking for reliable winter pants that can handle whatever the outdoors throws at you, these are a fantastic option!

Just a bit on the large size, but great product for the price.
These pants are incredibly comfortable and very nice and warm. They're not "waterproof" but fairly water resistant and make a great outer layer for winter camping. I thought that they ran just a slight bit on a large size but that's not necessarily a bad thing if you want to put another layer underneath. The belt that comes with them is pretty useless, but that is definitely not a deal breaker. I looked at pants with similar features at REI. Those were of course the big name brands and probably would prove to last a lot longer than these, but they're almost 2 and 1/2 times more expensive. My primary use for these would be winter car camping and winter photo excursions. For that type of use, these will work perfectly. Wouldn't want to use these to scale Everest, but then again that's not what I'm looking for. If you're looking for a decent pair of wind/water resistant, semi-insulated pants for some winter activities at a reasonable price, these are a pretty darn good deal.

Great pants
Great pants warm and stylish. Out of the bag they were wrinkled but after ironing they look and feel great. Doesn't like the seam right at the knees though.

Lifesaver for my winter vacation in Iceland
I bought these at the last minute before my trip to Iceland this past winter. Just before leaving I was advised that I needed water resistant and wind resistant pants because of all the waterfalls I would be visiting, especially for a visit the black volcanic sand beach. They were very comfortable and a great price. Standing out in the middle of the night viewing the North Lights I was comfortable and warm. Even when I got wet from waterfalls and geysers I was well protected. The pants also fit great over more heavy Swiss hiking boots. An incredible value!

THESE PANTS ARE NOT WATERPROOF
I work with water so finding a waterproof comfortable work pants is difficult.. I was so excited to try them at work..extremely comfortable..lining is subtle enough to keep warm and not hot.The angle zipper is not desirable at all.. a simple cargo pocket to the side would suffice. TO MY UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT THE PANTS ARE NOT WATERPROOF. In the title it states they are waterproof if you read down it says they are water resistant.. The first day after a light spray the water beaded but the 2nd spray onto the pants the material absorbed the water.. I'm working with a hose where occasionally I get back spray onto my legs. I wore them a second time and the pants absorbed the water into the fleece lining to where it made contact with my skin. Sad these won't work for me but if you are not in a wet situation and you just want a warm pant I do recommend. I am 5'7 200 lbs female and the 34 waist fit me perfectly.

Functional and flattering over-pants
I do a lot of outdoor workouts year-around. In winter, I need something that blocks wind and will layer over the number of layers required by temps in the teens. These do the job. I had on wool underwear, gym workout pants and these as my top layer last week when. It hit 13 degrees and I was comfy. They’re not restrictive and they are quite flattering. More than you’d think. For me, these are really snow pants but my wife says I could wear them to town any time. The fabric seems to give fair protection from wind and the inner surface is a nice fleece. I can wear them over bare legs and they’re fine.I feel that I got a nice deal for the money I spent. Comparable pants with famous brand names will cost 3 or 4 times what these cost. My next winter hike or snow shoe adventure will be comfy (and, btw, I can layer these over a pair of jeans and they still look good).Happy with this purchase.

Great quality outdoor work pants
Outer shell is waterproof and lining is soft and keeps me warm when working outdoors. Fits as expected and elastic waist with adjustable belt makes pants comfortable.

will not buy again
these are lined but not insulated.... stink like petrolium products when unpacked... -40c happens here... lining glued to the inside of the pants does not equal insulated..... also why is the belt that was included 2 inches shorter than the waste band of the pant.... Who does that
