Precious Gifts: A Novel Audio CD – Audiobook, June 28, 2016

Growing up, reading Danielle Steel's books for years, this was the newest one I read . It hit so close to home it was astounding and made me look at life around me with new open eyes. My heart broke four Mom, the girls and I wanted to smack the brother who ends up getting what he deserves. Family is what matters but so many don't realize it until it is too late. Make the time now to love your family. Be there for each other. Before it is too late because you only get 1 chance, and if you screw it up, your family is left paying for your choices. This book brought that to home. What another great book by a treasure who knows how to write with heart, love, compassion and gut wrenching stories.

Wonderful book and every one of Danielle Steel's book has a message. Here it tells us the relationship between a mother, her three daughters, her ex husband and a wonderful painting. While reading we find out what the three daughters are up to and how the mother finds love for herself and a painting that she gave her husband as a wedding gift, turns out to be a special painting for someone else. This message here shows how important it is to stay in touch with family and not forget that they are there for you and vice versa, no matter what happens in life.

I am a huge Danielle Steel fan and always recommend her books. This book tells you that there are still wonderful caring people around. Having four daughter's myself, it showed how caught up you can get in they're world but you have to make your own world. It was an enjoyable warm hearted read, enjoy

Let's just get this out there, I love Danielle Steel books. Precious Gifts doesn't disappoint. I don't want to give the story away, so will keep this simple. Precious Gifts is a story Veronique, an ex-wife, and mother who has raised 3 beautiful strong daughters. When her ex-husband passes away, his will is read and the gifts he leaves each of them will change their lives in unexpected ways. The daughters learn that their mother needs and desires a life of her own, and her role is not just to sit and wait for one of them to call.Another Danielle Steel book that I couldn't put down and stayed up late to finish.

Enjoyed again another Danielle Steel's books. As a mother reading the words of truth between mothers and daughters just stuck me as such a familiar occurrence having been a young widow myself with grown daughters. Life in her stories shows how similar we all are while appearing different.I will continue to read and enjoy her many,many books with pleasure.

A wonderfully written story about a family and all the wrongs and rights they all go through. And about making something right for someone who was wronged long ago. And about loss and finding love and kindness and ending loneliness.

Danielle Steel needs to spend more time spinning an net resting story and less time repeating things over and over! If one more thing was "the best, the most delicious, or the most amazing", I would have quit reading! So boring. I just wanted it to end. I put the book in the Goodwill box and won't bother offering it to a friend!

This is my first book by Danielle Steel and I was very pleased. It's a heartwarming story of a father that was unable to show his love in this life but certainly gave his wife and child more than anyone could imagine by his death. A must read for those warm hearted, nostalgic readers. It leaves you feeling very happy and satisfied. a must read

What on earth has happened to Steel's ability to story tell?! This was one long dull tale with very little plot to it, boring one-dimensional characters and nothing whatsoever to recommend it. Could easily have been edited to 1/10th its length and got the minute point of it across. After the first 30 minutes I flipped through the rest in 20 to see if anything of interest happened. It didn't. Glad it was 99p. Even that was excessive for such nonsense. Don't waste your money.

I like all of Danielle Steel 's books. Clear, simple and at the same time every day life stories that a person can recognize in friends and lovers. It is life in a poetic setting and even when things go wrong, there is always hope to be found and the endings are always, or at least most of the time, happy ones.

I found the beginning of the book long and wordy. However, having skipped through a few pages, about halfway through, the story picked up pace and became a really good read. Danielle's characters are always well rounded and believable. I enjoyed the book.

I really enjoyed reading another of Danielle Steel, when reading her books it make you feel as if you are there, I did not want to put this book down. Can't wait to read my next one
