My girls LOVED these (also bought the princess one). I put them in a pre-trip gift pack before we went to Disney World and they were beside themselves. They also love the matching pen and the little "purse" to hold them together.I love that they make the girls happy and that we didn't have to take the girls into a store on our first day at WDW. (BTW, they didn't figure out there WAS anything to buy until our last day when we wanted to find ears for them -- very handy if you can get away with it!!)Agree that these are PERFECT for a child's notebook for drawing, coloring, notes, etc.One star off for two reasons:* The purse quality is a bit low. The handle (secured only by a knot in the string) ripped through the plastic on one of them and the pen never seemed to fit quite right so we had some trouble re-snapping them with the pen.* If you want to save your signature collection for posterity (years and years), this is MUCH less substantial than the ones they sell at the park. I heard so much about the price gouging at Disney -- and I wanted them ahead of time -- I bought these but, honestly, I think a autograph book there was only ten dollars and a pen another five. In retrospect, for something they might save and/or use for more than 10 years, I might have considered a more substantial alternative. (Maybe two stars off if rating for this purpose alone.)So, depending on your budget and needs, I recommend this book as a great value. Decent autograph book for your trip to Disney World and perfect for fun, all purpose drawing, notes, etc.PS Pens were fine in size for the characters to use (even Mickey) who apparently have trouble sometimes with small pens and costume gloves.

If you have a toddler who likes to draw, these high quality notebooks are small and light enough to slip in mom's (or grandma's) purse without adding bulk and weight. Then they're readily accessible so kids can entertain themselves for awhile at restaurant meals. The pen is right in the plastic case, so you're not scrambling for scraps of paper but can't find a pen. I added to the plastic case a pair of teddy bear clips (found on Amazon) that turn any napkin into a bib. Also added a child-size spoon and fork. Presto -- a handy dining-out/entertaining kit always at the ready. The plastic case is thick, clear, and substantial, while still very compact. I made a "kit" for me, and one for my daughter-in-law -- they're a hit! The notebook is big enough so toddlers have an adquate space to draw in and can turn the pages and manipulate the notebook with ease.

We are going to Disney in the spring. I bought this autograph book and also the national design one on Amazon that has the loop to attach the pen. I wanted to compare them before buying enough for all of the girls to take. Of the two, this one is much thinner, the size is just enough smaller that I don't think 4x6 photos will fit and it just seemed more flimsy. The pages are blank white unlined. I wish they had some embellishments like a few of the others out there that don't come with pens. Overall, seems like it will do the trick for Disney, but if you are choosing between this one and the other one Amazon has out there in a plastic case, I would go with the other. On the flip side - this is an awesome at home every day book for the kids to use for doodling, etc. I'm just not sure it will hold up as well as I want it to for the Disney trip.

This notebook worked great for getting characters' autographs at Disney. The book itself is 4X6, not 5X7 like it said in the product description. My plan is to put photos in it on opposing pages of signatures so I may have to cut the photos down a bit. But the little plastic carrying bag was helpful for not losing the pen and to keep the book dry throughout the day. So I would say that is a big perk of the product. The pages are thin, but not too thin, and there are plenty of them for signatures. So I would say this product served its purpose well. I was glad I purchased it. Just don't expect super high quality.

Ordered two of these autograph books to take to Disney World. They were a tad smaller than others for sale, easier to carry around. The price was better and having the protective cover seemed like a good idea. They worked out great! Girls got about 35 autographs in each of their books and as the books went in out of our tote all day for 7 days the plastic covers kept them looking nice with the pen always right there, no digging for the pens! We were lucky it didn't rain but that was one oof the main reasons I bought these...just in case.
