DeVita Solar Protect SPF30 Sunscreen For Face, Neck & Decollete with Aloe-Hyplex vegan age defying facial moisturizer cream with spf - for UVA/UVB - for dry mature normal skin

I was a faithful user of the old formula for several years as many have written here....I have very sensitive skin, but used to be prone to acne...The old formula was one of the few moisturizing sunscreens I could use that didn't' break me out and didn't look greasy or white cast...It had very simple ingredients so it soothed my sensitive skin, especially as I was used retinoids to control acne which can be irritating and peeling...This new formula, gave me a horribly scary allergic reaction as soon as I put it on...my neck got tight and my muscles flexed there and I immediately had to flush my face for several minutes with water to make the contact allergy abate...I read the new ingredients and there are fancy south American herbs and hemp derived ingredients...I have an autoimmune disease and can't have stimulating herbs in my system (or on my skin) as they trigger a hyper stimulating, overactive immune response...I noticed one of the herbs was a uncommon South American tauted as a tightening anti aging ingredient...the only thing from South America I can stomach is coffee!...all the trendy anti aging, pro longevity herbs/plant derivatives that are becoming increasingly popular in the anti aging industry are too stimulating for people with hyper immune responses...This is not a formula for sensitive people or sensitive skin...

So, I thought I bought the wrong thing....this is very thick, has a strong small and close to impossible to get out of the over the top bottle packaging. I have to smash it on the counter to get it to drop down to where the pump tube pulls and then I only get weak spurts of thick liquid coming out. It takes forever to put on as you have to mess with it to come out and sometimes have to open the bottle to use the pump stick to scoop the creme onto your hand. So frustrating. As to the quality of the product, well, it's very heavy on your skin, which is not nice during summertime when you would normally use this product. The old formula had no discernible scent while this one has a very heavy, old lady smell. Overall, this will be the last time I order this product and I feel it was very expensive for the amount, quality and how hard you have to work to use the product. Two thumbs down. If you liked the original formula, my guess is that you would not like this one.

I like this new formula – I used the old formula for 10 years, then it became unavailable. While waiting for the new formula, I tried several other SPF face creams. All were too thick and left a white cast – I hated having them on my face and was glad when I could wash them off. This new Devita formula is definitely different than the old formula-it is a bit heavier but not nearly so heavy and thick as the SPF face creams I tried while Devita solar SPF was unavailable. This new formula is comfortable, not too thick, and not greasy. There is no white cast when it is applied. I did shake it before applying. There is a scent which is neither appealing or unappealing and is gone within seconds of applying it. I appreciate there is no perfume in this formula – I cannot tolerate perfume in a face cream.

I would give this product five stars if it was easier to get out of bottle. They should switch it to a shorter wider glass container rather than narrow tall glass pump because the product is too thick to pump. That way you could just scoop it out instead. What I do is place it in front of my heater or a heat source for a few minutes which makes it a thinner consistency. Once it gets low I just start opening it and using the pump to scoop it rather than pump it. I also add a few drops of essential oil to it and shake it when it gets really low and that way I am able to use the remainder that’s in there because it just comes out in a runny consistency when essential oils are added. This company is shooting itself in the foot with this packaging. Maybe they’re just using the last of the bottles before switching to new bottles. This is a great product though. I have very sensitive skin and it’s the only prepared skin moisturizer on the market I can use. I usually have to make my own. Highly recommend and just say work around bottling.

Like so many others I was a big fan of the previous formula of Solar Protective Moisturizer. It went on easily, was light on my face, and washed off easily at the end of the day. I needed a new tube and decided to give the new formula a try. Unfortunately I did not read the reviews, my mistake.However, this new formula is just the opposite. First thing i noticed is the smell-it stinks and i walked around all day with that smell. Secondly it is greasy, it left a greasy film on my face. Thirdly it is very hard to wash off at the end of the day, regular soap and water do not remove and I was still left with a white film on my face. It also seemed to clog my pores. I had to buy a make-up remover product to get the residue off my face. Still too much washing and scrubbing which left my face dry, raw, and red. Sorry i bought it, threw it outPlease De Vita, if you read these reviews, change this "new" formula back

Absolutely loved the old version. Change is so hard...but usually you get use to it. The old version of this product was amazing. It was easy to apply. I have been trying to get use to this version for months with no luck. It does not spread easily. If I use too little, it does not spread and I get spotty sun coverage. If I use too much it leaves an uneven white sheen. I have tried to mix it with another moisturizer, but it still goes on uneven. It is heartbreaking to have to go back to trying to find a daily moisturizer with sun protection with low toxicity.

I've been a long-time user of the old formula and loved it. This new formula is kind of oily and has a smell to it that I just can't get past. I smell it all day long. I also have sensitive skin, and this kind of tingles when applied. It's not terrible and I didn't notice any skin irritation necessarily, but it's not pleasant. I think the sun protection is good, but I REALLY wish they would bring the old formula back!! I should have heeded the reviews. I hope DeVita does!
