I was hesitant to buy this at first after reading all the bad reviews. But after a month, I can safely say my 7-year-old boy has enjoyed riding his Bluetooth hoverboard everyday! For optimal performance, you must follow the guidelines. I charged it for 5 hours before first use. I had to hold down the power button for a few seconds and reset it the first time to switch it on after charging.Then every time after riding it, we charged it until the light changed from red to green on the charger. I unplugged it immediately after light turned green, as to NOT overcharge the battery.As soon as battery light indicator turned red on hoverboard, my son immediately stopped riding it and turned it off, then immediately charged it.If he only rode it for a few minutes and we plug it in and light is green, then it does not need to be charged.The music on the hoverboard plays loud and clear and we never had a problem connecting it to Bluetooth from my phone.After enabling Bluetooth on smart phone and turning on hoverboard, it will scan for new devices and automatically find your hoverboard. Press the hoverboard device to connect to it. You will hear a sound on hoverboard.Then download and open music app such as google play music, Apple Music, Pandora or YouTube music to play music on hoverboard without Wifi (if outside).He has been able to ride it on the road and pavement for an hour daily with no problems!Cons: Hoverboard does scratch easily.The wheels are oversized so it is nearly impossible to find a carrying case that fits.It is a bit heavy for a child to lift by himself.

The battery does not keep a charge for very long . it gives no warning on battery being low and stops. I don't allow my son to ride it anymore cause he has gotten hurt from being thrown off it when it just stops. I replaced it already with a new one from Walmart cause it was Christmas present.

I bought this Hoverstar April 1st and it didn't work! It wouldn't stay charged. It charged for about 20 -30 min. It didn't stay charged. My son never got a chance to ride it .

Great fun, but really not all terrain.

I returned it it was too big for my little girl.

Junk don't last
