I purchased a similar sponge (1) from Sally’s (which they only carry during Halloween) for the same price of (2) of this item. I’m hesitant about sponges because of how hard it may be since I wasn’t able to touch it before purchasing but this was exactly what I was looking for. I use my sponges damp and spray a bit of finish spray so it doesn’t absorb too much of my foundation which is normal when the sponge is still new, however the bounce back from application is very even and the foundation goes on flawlessly. I also apply my translucent right after and a tip for my dark skinned ladies: this is by far the best method to put the thinnest layer of translucent powder without looking like a ghost! You’re welcome! Otherwise I’ll definitely be back for more and gift a few friends!

If you are looking for the real beauty blenders, this is not them. Beauty blenders are not made of sponge-like consistent material. These blenders are. I gave these high scores because I do know this. I have a separate set of beauty blenders for blending in liquid. The ones that are more spongey in consistency work better with powder. These are not as durable as other blenders, but they are not meant to be. It is how the material is made. These grab powder better than the smoother rubbery feel blenders do. They also rip more easily so be careful when cleaning.

These are cheap so all in all they are a good deal. Do they excite me? Well not exactly, but I do love cheap. I do recommend washing REALLY well when you first get them. Mine had some sort of substance inside that took a while to wash out. It was almost soap-like. But I gave them a good wash and they seem fine. The purple one is softer than the black one was and started ripping a tiny bit as I cleaned it. I was just squeezing it under soapy water so I was not rough on it. I don't imagine it lasting past a few washings. But neither did my more expensive sponges so I am not heartbroken. They applied my makeup just fine and didn't feel rough. I do prefer a softer sponge, but for the price I may just get used to these. So overall not exciting, but a good bargain sponge to smooth out foundation and concealer. Will do the job.

This beauty blender is very similar to the $20 one from Sephora, Macy's etc. Feels very soft and the holes are tiny making the skin look very smooth. It IS a little more "springy" and the center feels more dense than the beauty blender but the results look almost exactly the same. I bought these because my beauty blender made it into the laundry with towels and bleach and it disintegrated. I couldn't stomach paying another $20 for a new sponge so I tried these and they worked great!

These beauty blenders really blend the beauty. They smelled super funky at first but after they got sone air the smell was gone. They work great. They help even out my makeup without wiping it off. They also do not hold onto a ton of extra makeup so I don’t feel like I’m wasting makeup. Good purchase.

So I've been on the fence about using a beauty blender for applying foundation and the likes; I figured with the price point for this product, it's not going to make me cry if I happen not to like it. I actually love this thing! I tried it once I received it and it's super easy to use, dries well, and does not lose it's shape after washing and drying. It helped apply my foundation much much easier, and my concealer + contour. What was I thinking waiting so long?

These are great for the amount of money spent on them. Just a heads up - I use mine to apply foundation and when I went to wash them, pink and purple dye from the sponges washes out. I would suggest washing them with soap and water before use. Additionally, the foundation has left a stain on mine. With other beauty blenders, I’ve had the color of my foundation completely come out when I wash it.Overall, I give this product a 5 because the staining and excess dye doesn’t matter to me, as it doesn’t impact the quality of the item
