NOT WATERPROOF! my son wore for the first time in the snow yesterday and he came in and the entire back side had soaked through. His butt was wet and you can see that the fabric absorbed it. Not happy !

We call these our “Adventure Pants” These have been great pants for my four kids under age 10. They are all hikers and all tough on gear. These pants are perfect for layering with base layers for super cold hikes and snowshoeing, water resistant, have held up to butt sliding, and tree climbing. I always buy one size up so we can keep them longer, (which is why the included belt is great) but they are true to size if you follow the age recommendation. The knee patches could be more rugged which is my only reason for the 4 stars, but we haven’t put a hole in one yet.

Pro- very warm and comfortableCon- not water resistant at all,If you just want your kid to stay warm they are good, but if your kid wants to play in the snow your kid will get wet and cold.

The pants itself is good quality but the sizing is off. At least the size 14-16. It would fit a 10 year old. I will attach a photo of the size 6-7 (for my daughter) and the 14-16 for my son . I need to return it.

I have this 3 star b/c sizing was weird. My son is a 7 and we bought these and they were huge. They were too long, and he’s tall. We wanted them to work. They looked warm and dry. They were just too big and we had to return them.

I think these are great winter pants. Got them 8-10 because the reviews said they run small!!! They do not! I got size L even though I ordered 8-10 so I guess that means L in this brand. Anyway, my son is 6 and they are huge so will have to order smaller size.

Love them. Taking a beating but still in great shape. Wet on outside but dry as a bone underneath. Can’t ask for more.

Purchased these for hiking in cold, snowy, rainy UP Michigan. These were excellent. They were worn every day, washed almost every day. They are still like new. They kept the water out and kept my kiddos warm. My kids are 6 & 8 and they never complained once about comfort while hiking 6-8 miles per day.They do run large though - my little one needed the belt!
