Crimper
Great crimper for small to medium jobs.

Solid, works well
I generally liked this, but the auto lock feature can be a little hard to disengage if needed once the crimp has actually started. Also, I had an issue with crimps failing. However, since I can't be sure if it was mis-sized crimps, wire or the holes on this tool, I'm not dining the tool for that. Ended up having to go to about half way between two crimp sizes to get the crimps to hold.

Works
I need to crimp 4 or five things maybe once a month, I'm happy with this. The cost and size vs better leverage and higher cost is acceptable for me. It does what I need it to do. I was told by an "expert" at HD, that I could just use a pair of pliers to crimp aluminum ferrules. I felt like going back with a pair of pliers and asking him to show me. Just get the proper tool and be done with it. YMMV GL

Heavy Duty Crimpers for sure!
I bought this crimper after watching a video on how to make LBSF Leaders. I admit I have a slightly smaller set that could do the same job but this goes up to a larger crimp size that I will need for future crimps. It’s larger than expected but that helps with the leverage. It’s definitely a 2 handed tool so buyer should realize this prior to buying, I didn’t.I do recommend it if you do a lot of crimping (I will be) but for an occasional job here and there I am sure there are slightly smaller crimpers that would fit the bill.I included photos next to my arm and a Standard 3x3 Rubiks Cube for reference!

Work well but...
These make a tight, functional crimp with Zareba 12.5 ga ferrules on high tension energetic fence as well as 10-11 ga ferrules on 15.5 ga high tensile twisted barbed wire fence. However, the handles are a little short so the force required to crimp is too high. I should have bought the longer handle version of these. The ratchet mechanism works great and is necessary as you will have to adjust your grip a time or two before completing the crimp...unless you are young and have large hands and forearms like Popeye!!

Works excellently
I only need this to do my garage doors. I have old doors with the extension springs and the cables must be made to length. The cables are small, not the pre-swedged ones used on today's metal doors. Most of the parts for my doors are not available or they are slightly different, so I have to refurbish with making cables. It will be a dust collector so when I finish the second door, I will be selling this unit. It does multiple sizes but my need is for only 4 cables.
