A little packet of sweets, a picture of a sad puppy and a tale of woe will not get you good feedback. Selling a good product will. This radio lights up as it is switched on. There is no way to switch the lights off, so this drains the battery for no good reason. The tuner sounds like you are opening an old rusty door as it creaks loudly. Instructions say that it will only pick up air or marine if in line of sight??? How many people can see a ship from their window? This radio is pure junk. Even the medium and FM are full of static whistles and squeals.

I have an earlier model of this radio. Practically no reception on long wave (lots of static) but MW and FM reception is very good. Can pick up BBC R4 in Ireland clearly on MW, which none of my other radios can do. I can also pick up BBC R5 clearly on MW. Very good overall performance and better than earlier marks. It looks pretty cool too, especially the silver with red backlight.Update August 2020: the tuning dial has stopped working. It gets stuck two thirds of the way up the bands. I'll be returning this item which seems to be of inferior quality.

Very poor radio,air band subject to radio music interference. Tuning dial very stiff to operate. Didn't even get a full refund 😭 R.

Adequate considering the reasonable price. If you are wanting top notch HF performance you are into 4 figure prices.
