If you're a fan in any way, get this figure
This is easily one of the best figures in the Play Arts Kai line. I'll start off by saying that, thankfully, the scale of this figure with the others in the new FFVII release is perfect, a relief after the scale issues some other Play Arts releases have suffered. This whole release has been great in that way, making all the figures look right on the shelf next to each other.Secondly, the quality of this figure is definitely up to par. There's a huge number of poses Cloud can pull off and look natural in, which is especially nice given the amount of accessories he comes with. It looks great whether you want to have all his swords sheathed in his back harness, have him dual-wielding two of them, or just having him using the impressively large complete Tsurugi. On that last one - the pictures don't really show it, but Cloud's iconic sword here is movie-accurate in scale, managing to look huge even on a pretty tall figure.I'm continually impressed by little options this line keeps giving us. With Cloud you've got your normal varied set of hands as well as all his individual and combined swords, but you've also got two left arms to choose from with and without the sleeve. I should also note that this figure's hair is solid painted plastic instead of that weird translucent hair they gave the original Play Arts version. This, along with the great sculpt, paint and texture details (like the texturing on his vest), make this easily the best Cloud figure that's been made. This figure looks amazing next to my Tifa, Barret and Red XIII figures from this release (I haven't had a chance to get Vincent yet), and the large number of poses all of them can do create a lot of options for great displays if you're like me and don't leave figures in boxes. If you're collecting the line you can rest assured you'll be happy with this addition. If you only have older figures, this is pretty much the second-best reason to upgrade to newer (the best being Barret obviously since there's only ever been one crappy toy from the 90s before). And if you haven't been collecting but are just a fan of the games or movie, I think you'll still be just as happy having this figure around. Now that we have this, I can only hope they do a new Sephiroth figure for this line at some point, because we need it.

The Ultimate Cloud
I have never been into buying figures until i got a Halo Master Chief Figure through a gift exchange at work. I took it upon myself to buy a couple of different figures to populate my desk at work. Then one day looking at amazon i came across Cloud. It wasn't out yet at the time i saw it but i knew i wanted it because Cloud happens to be my favorite swordsman of all time and from the pic's being advertised on Amazon the Cloud looked miles above the rest that i came across. When it finally arrived in the mail i was so impressed at the quality and the detail. Cloud has been sitting on my work desk now for almost a year and he is no less impressive than when i first took him out of the box and put him on the provided stand. I pose him in different positions from time to time and his ligaments and pieces are intact and still very tight. I get compliments on him all the time and its a cool surprise that some unexpected people in the building at work know who he is.( I chalk that up to how precisely detailed he is ) Best figure i own so far. I would feel confident in knowing i will most likely get a quality product if i decided to buy another type of figure from Play Arts. Great Job!

and are looking for something to add to your nerd shelf then you will be very pleased with this purchase
Received this as a very late Christmas present. If you are a fan of FF 7, and are looking for something to add to your nerd shelf then you will be very pleased with this purchase. The figurine is sturdy and made well. Stands as tall as your average banana if not a little taller. Posing the figuring is fairly easy, and if you desire to pose it as seen in the picture here then you can do that.My only complaint is the stand for the figurine is a little bit of a PITA to assemble. As the placement of the weapons on the back make it impossible to hook the claw around the waist I simply clawed it around the weapons. Does the job just fine. That said this is my crown jewel of my collection. Not that I don't like my Lego AT-AT, but this thing is just so awesome.

The Ex-SOLDIER Returns
This figure is absolutely gorgeous, I purchased it at a convention and I'm loving it. Cloud comes with several changeable hands, his completed sword and also the sword in all its pieces, as well as a switchable left arm with or without the dust sleeve. He is also very much poseable, and the best part is you can put swords in the holsters on his back and his dust skirt is made of cloth with wiring to help recreate your favorite scene. A definite major improvement from the first play arts figure which I also own. There is, however, some drawbacks to its design which is why it gets 4 instead of 5 stars. The only one I will point out (because this one reeeally got to me) are the hands meant to HOLD his swords... They are molded with absolutely no space between his curled fingers and thumb, and his big buster sword cannot just simply slide in. I literally had to PRY his hands open a little to get the handle in them, they would not simply open and take the darn thing I had to maneuver it. After that accomplishment, though, I was pleased to see that he held the sword very easily with no weight pulling him forward or his arms down. He can hold the sword up on his own strength, just like the real thing. :)Another thing is you have to assemble the stand he comes with yourself, and it is very easy to lose or drop the small pieces so be careful. The pieces come in a tray that you have to pull them off of, and I recommend a way to cleanly cut them so that no little nicks interfere with adjusting the stand. All in all, he is very amazing. He is cleanly painted, the colors are spot on and the improvements go way further than that with all the extra stuff he comes with alone. You can literally recreate any Advent Children scene you want with this figure, and I do hope they re-release a Fenrir motorcycle for this figure, one with open side compartments for his swords. A must-have for any Final Fantasy VII fan.
