Blondo Women's Liam Waterproof Bootie

I overcame my fears and bought these expensive boots online without trying them on first. They were so worth the risk. They are comfortable. They are waterproof. They have a tread to prevent slipping on wet surfaces. I bought them for a trip to Ireland where waterproof boots are a must-have and got them a couple months ahead of time to break them in. The top of the boot hits around my ankle. The suede is soft and pliable so my ankle has never had to endure breaking in stiff material and feeling bruised by these boots, The heel is a great height for me, not too tall, but not frumpy and low, and the zips are on both sides, offering a convenience I never expected, but also a pretty braided tassel on the outer side. I wear them with black skirts, jeans, black trousers, you name it and they're fine. I bought a brush for suede and keep them looking good with occasional brushing. They've been through gravel, fields of deep wet grass, long walks down tiled corridors, streets, and they've been comfortable and dry and come away looking good. I am happy with this purchase.Update! I bought my boots in late May and today is October 1. What’s that? 4 months? Today the sole of the right boot came loose. WTF? Really? And the time during which they could be returned ended in mid June. I rescind my 5-star review. These were too expensive to have the sole fall aooso soon.

I loved this boot. Cute, comfortable even with bunions, and just as waterproof as promised. But after wearing for one month + 7 days, the sole started falling off. Like another reviewer who reported this, my return window is closed (as of 7 days ago), so I'm SOL and upset. Paid way too much for shoes that would only last five weeks. I've had $5 flip flops that lasted longer.

I love the way these boots look, and they’re comfy, BUT the sole is already peeling away from the base of the boot. I haven’t even been wearing them for a month yet. Pretty disappointing, I expected better quality for the price!

I'm going to Europe next February and wanted to find something I could walk in that would also be waterproof. I have a pair of blank ankle boots that go with everything but I've worn the heck out of them and I didn't think they'd last for all the walking I had to do on my trip. Because I live in black ankle boots, I decided to splurge and get a higher end pair that would last. I've had these Blondo boots for a while and they are fantastic. They are indeed waterproof. I'm in Wisconsin and it's been raining and or snowing off and on for a month and my feet have been dry and warm.The boots also look great. They are plain black with no metal trims or bells and whistles. They look great with jeans, ponte pants and my regular work trousers. The heel isn't too high and the boots are incredibly comfortable. What really surprised me was that the boots had no real break-in period at all. They were comfortable from the get go. No blisters, no rubbing, just really good looking boots.One caveat is that the boots are pretty narrow. I wear a 9.5M in dress penny loafers and tennis shoes and originally bought a 9.5M in these boots. The regular width felt really small so I returned them and got the 9.5 W which felt exactly right. The size is right on so if the boots feel constrictive, just get the wide version of whatever your size is.The fabric is easy to wipe off and looks like it will keep well with just minimal upkeep. These are a keeper.

I do not recommend buying these shoes. I read the reviews and, though I was concerned about some reoccurring negatives, took the chance because they were mostly positive. Don't fall for it! A month in of normal wear and the soles are detaching on both shoes. I've been splitting my time between 3 pairs of new boots these last 4-5 week - for a grand total of maybe 15 days in these - pair of Cole Haan's which I got two weeks prior and Timberlands purchased a few days after. Same price range, both of the other shoes are in great condition (Sidenote: Timb's have a great warranty I've already used on a previous pair I've had for years. Totally recommend. Blondo does not, if that tells you anything about the confidence you should have in their quality) I'm super disappointed. These shoes are unacceptable and a waste of money.

Looking at other reviewers' notes, I sized up half-size from my usual 6.5 to a 7 and they fit perfectly! I bought these shoes as an everything shoe for a trip up north in cooler climates (30-60F) with a lot of walking throughout a fairground with expected rain. They did not disappoint. They got rained on and stayed looking great as well being comfortable for all the walking I did. I have worn them with & without socks, thin socks and thicker thermal socks all with ease. The double zipper on the shoes makes them very versatile. I'm in love.
