Cheerful chia-full!
I love these chia protein bars! They have quickly become of my favourite vegan protein bars for a great mix of flavour, crunch and nutritional content.I purchased the salted caramel flavour, which I really like. The mix of peanut butter with caramel flavouring is lovely, sweet but not overly so, and these are two of my favourite flavours, so they're perfect for me.They have a good crunch to them which is also really satisfying, the soy crisp has a good texture to it, and these are quite chunky and thick bars so they are genuinely quite filling.I like that these don't have too many ingredients. Simply, soya protein, peanut butter, chia seeds for the protein, and then sea salt flakes, golden syrup and caramel for flavouring. I generally prefer protein bars that have a minimal and natural approach, which these definitely have. The addition of chia seeds here isn't something I've seen very often, giving these a unique selling point, and the added benefit of being a source of omega 3 to your diet. I love chia seeds so having them in here is a great bonus.Nutritionally, these are one of the highest vegan protein sources I've seen, at 20g per bar. Many other alternatives are only in the 10-15g range, so if you want something that packs more of a wallop, these are great. Fat content at 9g is moderate, and based on ingredients would come mainly from the peanut butter, which is a healthy fat source.Carb content at 21g is quite high, which makes for a great energy boost, though it should be noted that 20g of this is sugars, which is fine for me as I have a low sugar diet and only have 1 of these a day, but wouldn't suit diabetics, and should be eaten as part of a balanced diet.Price is fairly high at over £2 per bar, but is in my opinion reasonable for a vegan protein that delivers 20g plus omegas and has a great flavour. Definitely one of my new 'go-to' protein choices, and a new favourite!Pros:- 20g protein plus omegas from chia seeds- Good minimal, natural ingredients- Salted caramel flavour is lovely- Nice crunchy, crispy texture- Vegan, wheat free- Supporting a low-impact UK based businessI don't have any cons, but worth noting:- High in sugar so not suitable for some diets- Cost at £2 a bar may not be sustainable for some people's budgetsRecommended, they put a chia-full smile on my face!

Go to breakfast
I love these products, it’s a small business who sell on Amazon. I’ve been purchasing these for years, they’re tasty and filling. I’m not usually a fan of protein bars as don’t like the taste but these taste amazing. I think they’re good value for money considering the taste and amount of protein

Has fewer ingredients than others - which is great news
I usually buy another brand of protein bar. My requirements are that it must contain 20% protein. After seeing my brand was unavailable I searched around and found these. I was impressed that the list of ingredients is small - and therefore much less processed. Even comparing these to my usual brand - these seemed better for you. They are nice and good to have after a workout, or to keep in the car or handbag if you get hungry and need something to eat. They are crispy as opposed to chewy (as my last brand were) but a good protein bar.

Pricier than others but worth the extra cost
I first came across Chia Charge bars on the Marathon des Sables a few years ago. My tent buddy swapped me one for a Clif bar - not that we didn’t like our respective snacks, we just both needed a change!I really enjoyed the bar back then so recently bought some for my longer distance cycles. I like the flavours - not too overpowering or sweet - and they pack pretty much the most calories/gram of almost all the bars I’ve tried (plus a friend of mine did a like for like comparison across 10-15 other bars and couldn’t find a decent alternative). They’re also very easy to eat on the move as they hold their shape, have a decent bit of crunch but aren’t too dry either. Plus they’ve got 20g of protein so you can start your recovery whilst you’re still on your ride. All in all, a very decent sports bar and I’ll definitely be buying more for everything from daily rides to ironman distances.

Yummy but sweet
Love them but they’re too sweet for my palette. Wish they were about half as sweet

Light snack with good protein content
This is a great alternative to protein flapjacks when you’re after something a bit lighter on the stomach. The taste is good and I like that it’s all natural (I’m trying to avoid the highly processed protein bars with artificial sweeteners and flavours).

Healthy option compared to most protein bars
Kind of the consistency of a rice crispy bar, but denser, with a reasonable go at a Jaffa cake flavour (that’s the flavour I went for). Has a healthier list of ingredients than most protein bars so I’ve subscribed for more.
