Great Electric Grill
When set to highest setting the heat to 300F takes about 15 min, 400 F takes about 30 mins. As long as you close the lid pretty quick and don't ever just cook with it open, this thing really cooks your food just like a gas/charcoal grill. The quality of the product and it's materials are high. Mine had a dented lid on arrival, customer service sent me a new one within days. Really happy with this purchase. Great for my condo balcony. Also the temperature gauge (which many of this items competitors don't have) is what makes this product so easy to use. Real differentiator.

Beautiful, compact, efficient
This is my 3rd try. First $100, was missing parts and seemed cheap. Second, $200 loved it but was a Smoker bbq. Meaning not a bbq could only smoke. I have a Smoker and thought you could bbq w/o smoking. Wrong. Today got me Napoleon electric bbq. BINGO, it’s beautiful, compact, efficient, heats to 600, is electric and perfect. Bbq #2 was electric but you had to use briquettes. NOPEI’m hoping this will meet apt standards. If not we will carry out and bbq in the same place as the smoker.

WISH I'D DISCOVERED THIS SOONER!
This is the first grill I've owned that is of higher build quality than the numerous "cheap" models I've purchased at box stores over the years. All I can really say is that I wish I'd discovered it long ago, as I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had to replace it. It's built like a slab of granite. After using it for about six months, the auto starter still works. That's never happened for me previously, as all other units failed quickly. And talk about heat! It gets above 400 degrees fahrenheit in about 5 minutes. That's too hot for grilling a lot of foods, but it's no problem...just dial it down. If it's still too hot, turn off one of the burners. If it's still too hot, open the lid as often as needed. It has terrific versatility, but there is a bit of a learning curve. It was a bit intimidating, at first, but not for long.Did need to season the iron grill plates prior to using it for the first time, but they haven't needed it since. They also clean up very quickly with a wire mesh brush. Cleaning the plates while they are still hot works best.As the old adage goes, buy the best tools you can afford. I wish I'd done that long ago.

Does the job fine
I have had this grill now for more than a year. We use it at least once or twice a week. And I really like it. Electric grilling elements are never as good as open flame. But I've had no problem whatever cooking steaks, chops, fish, burgers (etc) in the same amount of cooking time as most small tabletop gas grills. Sometimes I think this little grill does things even faster. It is true, as several reviewers noted, that the temperature reading never seems to go above 400, nevertheless everything cooks beautifully in just a few minutes per side and tastes great! So I decided it's partly just a temperature gauge thing. The grill itself is heating and working fine for me. And it is so easy to use. I turn it on, give it 5 -10 minutes to "warm up" (paying no attention to the gauge), then I put the food on, cook it a few minutes on each side, and voila! Everyone always comments on the nice sear marks and how juicy everything stays!Recently bought this grill again, as a gift for friends, and they love theirs as well. (PS their temp gauge works fine - grill gets easily to 600 or more - and cooks identically to mine.)

1 hour to get to 350 and never gets to 400
Been struggling with this electric BBQ for a while now. No matter how high I initially have the heat and keep the lid closed - the BBQ will not get past 350. Materials are quality but now it's just sitting on my deck like furniture.
