Softball Surprise (Jake Maddox Girl Sports Stories)

My daughter who is 8 and reads more at a fourth grader level loved this book. It was honestly too easy for her. But she loved the story. She is really into softball so this was perfect!

This was an easy read for my 10 year old ad she loved it!

I bought this for my daughter for her 10th birthday and she has read it twice. She isn't much of a reader but loves softball and actually related to the story.

This book is great for any softball lover or a sports lover for that matter! Teaches a great lesson! My 10 year old couldn't put it down she loved it so much, finished it in 1 day!! She loved it so much she wanted to get one for her best friend who also loved it!

I bought this for my niece who loves softball.

Length of book in the description is misleading...and the recommended age seems off to me. Lots of fluff and filler added to the page count. The story ends on page 65. It is large print, double spaced, and most of the chapters are only 3-4 pages long. Many full pages of pictures mixed in, so it's not even 65 pages of reading. This is more of a booklet than a book. Similar to early reader books that are very short. The story is great, but it seems like it would be better for a first or second grader (6-7 years) at most.
