Great Job!
What a fantastic book! Hair Envy, by Natalie Sellman, unleashes knowledge from a beautiful black sister who desperately wants to help young women realize how beautiful they truly are, just the way they were born--pretty, thick, curly, wavy hair and all.The book shares the lovely story of a little girl who has always wanted long hair, not realizing that she already had it--just in a different way! This book is so elegantly written; it aptly conveys the pride that comes with wearing ones hair naturally, while sharing tips on proper hair treatment and care, providing helpful products, essential routines and your own personal hair care journal!Sisters...this is a perfect book for our young Black daughters, sisters, nieces--anyone who is interested in the natural hair revolution. Sometimes we need a reminder about self-pride and valuing ourselves fully. Perhaps you will find yourself somewhere in this story and encouragement in the beauty and pride of your natural hair. Even if it’s curly, kinky, course, short or long, remember SISTERS, we are all beautiful just the way we are!

I truly enjoyed reading this book. Born in the late 50s I have seen and heard just about all tales of the natural verse relaxed hair and the author was on point. I definitely recommend every Mom to share with their little girl of all nationalities. It a teaching of understanding.
