Note: Updates to the engine version from 13 to 13.02 and MCTS 13.02 are available at no cost.
The Fritz interface (classic menu) is not exactly user friendly. Its a bit of a learning curve for first time users. Even though I've owned Fritz 10 and 12 I'm still trying to figure things out even after watching tutorials on You Tube. Beyond that everything seems to work well. I can add other engines and import games played from other sites into my database besides the games I play on the Playchess server. Analysis of my games is the feature I use most. Taking a winning position and going up against Komodo is interesting because it teaches you to never let your guard down or you will be punished. It's surprising to see how resourceful the engine is and how your assumptions of an easy finish can be crushed in an instant. The one downside is that the Playchess Membership is good for only 6 months. Regardless I'm quite satisfied and would recommend to all.
