I am very happy to have the binocular with me when I was vacation on cruise and travelling around in Alaska, and the binoculars is made of high quality material, I can see wild animals from very far away, clear and vivid. However, there was one disadvantage the binocular has is I have to adjust the focus frequently to watch things on different distances, and it is not good for watching whales or dolphins that may come out of water anytime at any distances, and then gone. This binocular was not doing to a better job than the fixed focus one. Anyway, it is not the fault of the $50 binocular, it works as good as those were sold over $200 on cruise, I love this binocular.

12X actually is too much for hand holding, but great for astronomy and it come with a good quality tripod adopter, great.very good quality optical glass, very clear.small enough, not heavy like real astronomy binocular. a happy buy. thanks
