This works great on my laptop to replace the head phone jack. I do not know what happened to my laptops head phone jack output, just one day when I wanted to use the head phone jack there was no output. This USB sound card was just what I needed to fix the unknown cause for the jack failure and priced right. I have only used it with head phones so far but it works great.

Set-up software didn't work with win 10, but I still managed to get this functioning with minimal fuss. What drove down the star rating for me is the persistent buzzing I hear using this adapter. I tested my headphones on other devices and computers, no buzz. I tested other headphones with the adapter--all have a buzzing noise. It's less obvious when audio is playing, but still present.

Works as intended but really could have used more detailed instructions. I have W7.1 Pro & I couldn't get the disc to run as I thought it should. Really helped me get rid of some bass.

Not sure if anyone else has run into this, but there is a persistant "whine" noise when recording with this device. I managed to "plug it in just right" a couple times where it minimized the whining, but for the most part, it's unavoidable. Whether with a microphone or an aux device (I was trying to record/mix music, and was working with a multi track mixing program), the whine was always there. Not quite loud enough for the visual sound level monitor to pick it up, but definitely loud enough to hear on mixdown and playback. It's crap, pure and simple. It goes to show, you get what you pay for, but for starving artists and musicians, it would be nice if someone would at least put out an inexpensive product of this type that didn't make you feel like you got it at an inner city WalMart!

Used for PS3 mic and headset. A breeze to set up with the included software, and works perfect. Great price and quick delivery from this seller as well.

Sound quality sucks. Forget about the recording quality. Don't waste your money. Go with a name brand sound card like Creative Labs or ESSD.
