No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference

Read/listen, then act
Greta is an awesome young person. I saw her on the Daily Show last week and she impressed me even more. This book contains mostly brief speeches she has given over the last year. The book is short and there is some repetition, so it is a quick read. As for the repetition, she could well say what Rev. Gordon Cosby once said--he gave the same sermon two weeks in a row, so a congregant asked if he had had a busy week and he replied, No, but no one acted on the sermon last week, so I wanted to give it another try. Her message is simple and so it makes sense to repeat it until we hear and act. She occasionally inserts asides such as (p. 61) "Did you hear what I just said? Is my English okay? Is the microphone on? Because I'm beginning to wonder." She has great responses to questions, such as, Shouldn't you be in school learning, instead of striking? (pp. 11-2): "Why should I be studying for a future that soon will be no more, when no one is doing anything whatsoever to save that future? And what is the point of learning facts within the school system when the most important facts given by the finest science of that same school system clearly mean nothing to our politicians and our society?" Greta has an ability to focus that is unsurpassed. Read or listen to her, and act.

Courageous speeches by Greta
No fear to defend the planet. An inspiring and eye opening book. Greta is definitely well-deserving of the Nobel nomination.

Finally.
Finally, someone who speaks clearly and with complete honesty. Greta is a very welcome breath of fresh air in an atmosphere constantly polluted by lies, greed, denial and apathy. In my book, she is the epitome of a humble and unintentional hero.

Naive fiction from a child
Unfortunately a book totally free from scientific arguments. Based on a belief a child got before she was 10 years old.

A readable, shareable, giftable book
A courageous woman who is telling us what we need to hear and what we need to do. This small book puts her speeches into your hands- she writes with urgent clarity in words that will put a spear through your heart. EVERY PENNY goes to charity - Greta and her family make ZERO on this book

The science is real. This book is important.
One of the poor reviewers urges us pity the author and not to trust scientists, then proceeds with a nonsensical and condescending justification full of untruths. For shame. This book is important: climate change is the most critical issue of our time. Any person, young or old, trying to effect policy change needs both encouragement and all the support we can offer.

One little book everyone should read by law
This is a book that I believe is required reading for everyone on this planet at this time.A beautiful little book that once read can be carried in your pocket or bag and passed on to someone else.It packs a punch... have heard all of these speeches but so good to read them again.I plan to buy many and gift them as takes my whim.Greta Thunberg is an incredible being and I am so grateful that she is here taking action on all of our behalf.

We have a job to do
Amazing and so honest. Listen to the scientists, time is crucial, we have made an almighty mess of this beautiful planet, and are continuing to do so. Oil gas and coal must be brought down to an absolute minimum and the government must help us convert our cars and central heating. Sixteen year olds do not have the time to grow up and fix it, we must do our part starting today. The planet will be in self destruct mode by 2030.

Important
This is brilliant and an important read for young people and adults alike. The haters and oil sponsored shills will flood it with bad reviews but Greta is not making this up - she's just saying listen to the science. The rest of us seem to happy to go over the cliff into oblivion.
