Got it to separate my axolotls until my baby gets the same size as my adult. So far it has worked perfectly and was actually quite easy to install. My tank is a 40 gallon breeder and the one I got that is the biggest was too big for it and had to be cut to size(so probably can be used for bigger aquariums too). Would not recommend as a way to keep a mature male and mature female from breeding though as there are holes in it that will allow the sperm comes to pass through to the other side. For that you'd want a separate tank or a solid wall to wall divider. Even if you kept the protective film on it there are still gaps where the divider suctions to the glass. I give 5 stars and will be recommending it to other axolotl owners. The last two pics are close ups of the two cuties.

Works well on my fish tank. It's a little hard to cut. I like it, but it could be a little bit cheaper.

Clear plastic, but it comes with a film layer that needs to be removed. However, the film also makes the barrier more translucent than transparent, which is good when separating an aggressive fish. Feels sturdy, but still able to trim with a decent pair of scissors.

Not very sturdy, no instructions, and didn't seem to fit my tank well. I'm curious as to what this is made out of, however, because less than 5 minutes after putting it in, I went to check on my betta and he was dead. He had been lively, swimming around and ate his dinner and now suddenly he dies? I did rinse the plastic, but I'm thinking it's toxic if it killed him. Looking at other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who ended up with a dead fish after installing this. Very upsetting, tomorrow is new year's eve and I'm stuck explaining to my child that her pet is dead!

The product comes with many small plastic pieces. It is easy to install but, careful not to lose anything. It is a thick sturdy plastic, and the suction power is strong. I bought this product because I wanted to separate my female betta from my female danio when feeding because my danio is too fast and steals all the food. However, given the durability and sturdiness, it becomes an interesting task to remove. I personally only want to put the separator in for just feeding time. I would much rather be able to see my whole tank the rest of the day.That being said, this is a great product if you're looking to separate a big tank into two parts for a longer period of time, or to separate an aggressive fish from a timid one. Because of the durability, it does give some resistance when you want to section off a corner of your tank by bending it.The only issue that I had was that it is up to you how far or close the divider edges are away from the glass. My fish slipped through where the suction cup was, so make sure that the divider is right up against the glass of the tank.You can also cut it down to the size of your tank, which was not too difficult to do. Overall it did exactly as it advertised and I imagine it would be good for separating big fish because of how thick the plastic is. As a final thought, I believe it would be good to mention, if you have ever seen a danio, you know that they are really small; my danio could not fit through the holes in the separator. Not sure I would recommend it for fry however.

Pros:It fit my tank dimensions, right out of the box; required no cutting.It looks and functions exactly as advertised.Cons:The only Con is that it doesn't come with instructions. If people don't think to look back at the product images on the Amazon website, they will have to rely purely on guesswork in assembling the suction cups (CAUTION: there are a lot of tiny parts that go along with it) AND in peeling the white protective coating that adheres to both sides of the panel (in fact, it's easy to mistake the coating for the panel's natural color.)It's no wonder this version sells at a significant discount to its exactly identical competitor also sold on Amazon - those other guys probably include the instructions.

Trimming this not super easy- the suction cups have lasted a few months before they started to get super brittle. The adjustable things are nice in theory but they are very sturdy and are a real pain to clean
