Looks great and feels premium.
I got the 200w for a 50 gallon and it works perfectly. The temperature reading is very fast and accurate. I switched it from a 10 gallon (76F) to the 50 gallon (81F) as a test and it got the correct temperatures instantly after I plugged it in. I was looking for something like this and I love that fact it has built-in safety mechanics to stop itself from cooking fish if something goes wrong. The LED lights look nice and are easy to read without being annoying. They nailed it! I would highly recommend.

DO NOT PURCHASE
First one I received kept giving me error code E1 even though it was fully submerged. I read other reviews and some could shake it underwater to get rid of trapped air bubbles. This didn't work for me. I returned it. Second one I received worked fine.. For a day. I unplugged it to move some decorations around and once I plugged it back in I got error code E1 again. This time the unit would make an audible click as it cycled between the temp I set and E1. Tried unplugging it several times and shaking it. I highly doubt this issue is caused by my error but even if it was the "safety features" are so poorly designed that I couldn't possibly reccomend to anyone.TLDR: Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I replaced first unit and got another defective one right after.

Malfunction of brand new submersible heater
This heater was great to start off and kept the temperature perfectly. However, I am very disappointed and concerned for my turtle's health and safety. This is because the heater got a whitish colored growth or coating which covered midway to the end of the heater at the plastic end cap. This substance would flake off into the water when disturbed. My turtle started having issues with his eyes and not knowing if the heater was the cause, I took the whole tank down and sanitized everything. With further inspection the white substance on the heater was pretty thick and could be removed with a plastic utensil. Under where the support suction cup clip was, that came with the device, I found 2 spots that appear to be "cooked" and the affected spots on the heater are raised to the touch. One on one side and one the other side. I am not going to use this heater because I am fearful that continued use will be detrimental to my turtle. See pics.

Watch closely to make sure your fish aren’t getting electric shocked.
Mine was defective and shocked my oscars. Not deadly but enough to make them freak out and try to jump out. I immediately removed it seeing this happen 2x.. returned it and purchased a upright like I had before and no problrems at all. I don’t think submerging an entire electrical cord in water is a good idea.

BIG FAIL
April 9. 2020: Heater failed 2 nights ago, temp dropped to 66 degrees in my spawning tank!!! Less than 6 months use! Didn't even make it the year warranty. Piece of garbage. I had to emergency rig a 7 year old Aqueon heater to keep from losing the fish! Will I get the refund as promised in warranty? Doubt it, haven't heard a word from them. I have used a variety of heaters over the decades and NEVER had one fail, never. Don't Buy.Original Review: The remote, which is the main reason I bought this, doesn't do you any good if it's on the back of the aquarium, as mine is, to keep cords out of view. You can't see the heater display while you are adjusting the temperature! I had to keep pushing the button then running around to front of tank to see if it was set right. It **does** do a very good job of holding the temp and having the digital read out in the tank with blue/red indicators as to when it's maintaining/heating is very nice. One other thing, the instructions say to replace yearly!!! . . . I have never, ever had a heater that "wore out" . . . so if this is only good for a year, OMG.

Error? Please read the 4 lines of introductions
Works great! Twice as fancy as the ones that cost twice as much. I did have an erroe message at first but it was just an air bubble trapped in the top. I gave it a tap, a bubble came out, and it started working the way its supposed to. One of the bad reviews showed a picture with the top above water... Read the simple instructions! It must be fully submerged or you'll get an error. There are even some nice Ikea style picture instructions in case you can't read.Great product! I'll buy 2 more when I set up the big tank.

Nice looking heater
Works great. Took me a few to get it working had e1 code flashing. This means it wasn’t in the water witch it was it had air bubbles. After shaking it under the water it started working fine

Temp display is very bright and easy to read
I had to return the first one because it did not work; it flashed an error message instead of the temperature. Return was very easy and replacement arrived the next day. The display is bright and easy to read and there is an indicator when the heat element is on and when it is off. Suction cups are strong and stays in place. A slightly longer cord would be nice but that is nit, the temp control is on the cord. I would have given 5 if the first one was not defective
