Wolo (845) Road Warrior DD Roof mount Truck Air Horn - 12 Volt

Bought this for my husband after doing lots of research came across this one had good reviews good video. One review suggested a bigger air compressor and gave the exact one to buy so I did and I am not happy at all it sounds deflated, and his stock horn is definitely louder than this. Completely anti-climatic and very disappointed

This horn is a good purchase for between 50-70 dollars. The box arrived quickly and in good shape. It included the correct product, instruction manual and some mounting hardware. Note: if you are intending to mount this horn in any other way than intended be cautioned that it is very large. I didn't want to make it visible and found that it fit well under the rear bumper of my vehicle. Took very little time to install, instructions are straightforward and all the required hardware was included (except drill bits). The horn is very loud and works well. The compressor takes about 1/4th of a second to generate pressure from the time the button is pushed. I recommend buying a better switch to use though, i bought a switch at a local hardware store for less than a dollar which works much better than the included one. Wiring diagram is complete and wiring is very simple.

This horn is much like what you would encounter on a yacht, or some large trucks. The photo doesn't really give you the idea of its size. It is as long as a regular trumpet, and the bell is just as big around, too. We had a time fitting this in as a hidden horn between the grille and the radiator, but we managed - at about a 45-degree angle. At first, I had it put on with the compressor that comes with it. It made a pretty good noise, but there was an obvious mechanical "buzz" when the compressor started up before it had enough air to make a sound. If you don't mind "Bzzz-HOOOONK," it's OK as is. I upgraded. Wolo makes a higher-output direct-drive compressor, the model 808-C, and I had that put in. I am completely happy with how this horn sounds with that compressor! I have heard train horns like this, but most associate this sound with a yacht. It's fun, and has great "startle" power!

Put this on a 2004 Mazda 6 (had to use some southern ingenuity L brackets zip ties hose clamps and a strong desire to succeed) as I did wired it to a push button away from my main horn this way my wife can still have her horn an wether I'm driving or in the passenger seat I can blast it at any time! I love my air horn! I will also mention I did also wire an older wolo model 110 boat horn I had bought a while back for an e bike I rigged up... It has a slightly higher e pitch but sounds great with the two horns in tandem!

Horn worked fine but compressor was bad. Contacted Wolo. They said at first to pay them $10.00 and shipping and they would check it. That would have been about $20.00. I ordered a compressor form another supplier f0r $16.00. Everything works now. After that I received an email saying they would waive the $10.00. That was nice but way too late. Should have been checked before shipment.

Works great, sounds great. Installation was a pain for me (it's under my truck) but that's no fault of the product. I did go with the bigger compressor as someone else suggested, NOT sure I needed it though

After trying to find a spot to mount, not on roof, I finally had it working with stock horns. Seems the stock horns are just as loud.

this horn is big but it is definitely not loud, very deep sound but my stock horn is louder. might need a bigger compressor.
