Q: What is the limit for entering a camera number while controlling a matrix? Can it go to 4 digits?

I believe This analogue unit and the analogue cameras can only go to 256

Q: Can this controller be used with ip cameras? can it pan, tilt and zoom simultanously? what is the raction time (how fast does it respond)?

Immediate response, camera software focuses zoom in/out w/o delay. Must have DVR matched to camera & programed through DVR

Q: Does this controller use poe and can you control a ptz camera with just the rj-45 network cable?

The unit I have is for analogue cameras, I use video baluns on a cat5 cable. I run video balun on the orange pair, power + on the Green pair, power - on the brown pair and PTZ bus on the blue pair.
