Ultimate Gym Bag: The Crowdsource Designed 20” Duffel by FocusGear

I bought this bag after carefully poring over the many duffel bags available on Amazon. After seeing the specs for this bag, I was pleased with the ample size and number of pockets and internal dividers. The bag arrived December 1st, and for the first couple weeks, I had no issues, however I did notice the stitching was a little shoddy where the shoulder strap connects to the bag itself. The stitching continued to deteriorate this week, ultimately snapping as I was walking to the bus from the gym today, December 21st. There is no going back now, the bag is garbage after only 3 short weeks.For reference, I only bring the bag to work 3 days a week and carry no more than some shorts, a tshirt, sneakers, my lunch, and a bottle of water. The fact that this bag advertises itself as being able to easily store and tote pretty much exactly those items, I'm shocked at how quickly it fell apart.Do yourself a favor and don't throw your money away on this cheaply made piece of junk.Photos attached.

Well thought out design. However, after 3 uses the seams started coming apart on the side opening. Going to try exchanging it and giving it one more try.update:The seller was very prompt in reaching out to me in order to arrange an exchange. It is much appreciated.

Love the idea, The execution is terrible!i'm on my 2nd bag and both broke in a matter of days. the straps and bungee's just pull off with no real weight applied. i would gladly pay double for a bag with this concept. why cheap out on material when you have a sold bag design?

Love the bad itself but the shoulder strap attachments are not sturdy. I have not used this bag a week and the loop holding the shoulder strap broke. if you are going to create a bag that has two water bottle holders, the shoulder strap should be able to handle that weight. Loved the main compartment and the fact that the zipper opening is big enough that I can see everything. However I am quite disappointed that now I won’t be using this as my main gym bag since I like to have my hands free in order to swipe into my gym.

Should have paid more attention to other reviews before purchasing. You get what you pay for. Seams and straps tore after 1st use under very little weight., much like other reviews. Good concept, but very poor execution. Will be returning. No way it would last more than a month with any regular use. Apparently, "Quality" wasn't an attribute they crowdsourced.

This bag might deserve two stars because the design is excellent. But nobody reads any review except 1 or 5 stars so I want to make sure that anyone considering purchasing this bag moves on to something similar. I have used this bag for 3 days and the shoulder strap has already broken off of the bag. I used it exactly as described, carrying two bottles of liquid, one pair of cycling shoes and some gloves, lift hooks and FAT GRIPZ, so the full bag checks in at around 15 pounds, way within specifications. Save yourself the hassle of returning this bag to Amazon when it fails. While the zippers didn't break yet, I can tell it's just a matter of time. My last bag, a Nike bag, lasted over 5 years with the same load. Move along, nothing to see here.

I just got the bag. Here are some initial impressions. (1) This bag is like many products coming out of China these days -- the quality control isn't that great, but overall, it's a great value. My bag has some visible loose stitchings. If you look at the ratings, the bag fails for around 17% of the customers, and works well for around 70%. Those are the chances you take. (2) The design is very good. The drink holders can expand enough for some big bottles. The many compartments keep things nicely organized. The bottom compartment may be inconvenient to use. (3) The parts aren't all that durable, but if the bag lasts three years, I'll consider it an acceptable deal.

The idea is of the bag great. Lots of space and a good number of pockets. However, the elastic cord on one of the outside pockets broke after one day. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems as though the craftsmanship of this bag is pretty poor. I'll be returning it and getting a different bag.
