At under $20 for 2 cheap enough to buy extras, simple setup and have worked perfectly for 6 months.
AFTER 6 MONTHS OF CONSTANT USE AND A FEW DROPS (oops!):Holding up perfectly! What a great deal We paid around $14 for two which is pretty good (think they are around $20 for 2 now, still not bad!)Needed no modification at all and works at out 20 feet distance perfectly every single time, and would likely go a bit farther. We had the typical old 1980s antique looking clickers when we moved in and they were on their last leg and caked with some disgusting sticky gunk from the last tenants (gross) - was happy to chuck those and switch to nice new fresh ones :) Always good to have a spare and they were cheap enough to grab an extra.Even after a few drops they are like new and have no issues, seem to be compatible with lots of older systems (ours is pretty old) and we have never had to reset them or anything. The battery cover is a pain to remove so don't have an anxiety attack when it won't come off, slide something small in to pop it off carefully and don't expect it to just slide off with a little tug. On the other hand the covers do not fall of when dropped so that's a plus!Came with the silver visor clip which saves you a few buck and trip to your overpriced local Ace :)Attached a few photos, hope they help.

Works great
I got six of these to for my company gate opener. They work as good or better than any other brand I have used. The range is better than most of the Clicker products, but not quite as good as some of the homelink stuff that comes built into newer cars. They do come with batteries, too. As others have mentioned, the battery cover is really tight. This is good and bad, it won't pop off if you drop this as some do, but it is a bit tough to get it open without putting marks in the case. Be sure to use something that fits the slot fully. Since they are one button units, they also have one drawback in that if lost or stolen, it is easy to retrieve the code settings from the dip switches. Ones with more than one button can have the dip switches cleared after programming. This is a pretty minor thing and it does make these drop dead easy to program. Just set the switches and you're done. It's nice to know I can still get new transmitters for a pretty old gate.

Works great. Use clip to open remote.
First off, these are perfect alternatives for those who want to replace their garage remotes that rely on the 300 MHz, 10 digit code garage gates. Batteries are included and are easy to replace. These are the 9 volt batteries. Once you use the clip or flat head screwdriver to remove the bottom latch, make sure you match the code inside the remote with the code of the garage gate. Then you are good to go.My only thing against these remotes is that they are pretty big. ~ 4 x 2 x 1 inches ... well at least you won't lose them!Overall, these are very affordable, reliable, and functional for those who use 10 digit coded gates!

Good deal, powerful, fast delivery. May need adjustment (easy, see photo)
I bought a house built in 1990, with clunky huge Craftsman 300 MHz remotes. These Linear remotes are less than half the price, so I got a couple. And they didn't work! Wait a minute... there's a tuning pot on the circuit board. So I held the button down and tuned it from [fail] to work to [fail], estimating and setting the trim pot to the center (frequency). Lo and behold, this thing now works several hundred feet away. I'm not able to confirm this, but I suspect older openers are just a bit off frequency (25 years is a long time, and crystals age). Whatever, it's an easy fix. look at the attached photo. Now they work so well I hardwired them, and now there's no visible remote. Just hit the high beams to open or close the door. For those of you who know electronics, mine draw just under 12 ma, and the supply is 9V, so the drop resistor is about 250 0hms or 300 if you are conservative, with a 9.1 V Zener.

If It Were Junk I Would Tell You
It works well and has good range. I have hedges and a block wall before getting to the gate from the street. While driving on the street approaching the gate it still opens the gate through the hedges and block wall from about 5-7 yards away. On a direct entry facing the gate with no obstructions it will open about 15 yards away.

Easy to programed hand transmitter unit
This unit is a replacement for the original transmitter that came with my electric gate. It is identical. The code is locatedinside the original unit, they are little flip down rocker switches similar to wall switches with numbers on them. Use apencil or anything with a small point to flip the little switch. Be sure to write down the number from the original switchlocated on the inside switch tabs. You may have to use something to magnify the number if you wear glasses. Transferthese number to the new hand transmitter box. Some of the new 9 Volt batteries will not fit properly. The unit comes witha battery, write down the name of of it for a replacement with it comes time to buy a new one. Did not give it 5 stars, its made of plastic and does not go to gather well. This part of it is cheep. When you are installing the code, don't play with the button,it will activate what ever your controlling, in my case, a 10 foot security gate side entrance with three large HUSKIES in side.It open the gate from inside the home, good thing my dogs did not see the gate open, they would still be gone. When I pushed the button, I wondered it it actually open the gate, I checked, and you know what, it did! It works very well.

Works perfect ,easy set up
Another reviewer mentioned you may have to adjust the voltage pot. I had one that worked great right out of the box other needed adjustment. I like that they are not the tiny key chain models. 9v battery instead of button cells or odd little batteries. They feel quality made.Perfect size to make them easy to find. One draw back I found is remote doesn't like being left in hot cars. It did not want work.Once it was allowed to cool down it worked fine.

Works Well
My boss needed some help finding some remotes he had lost. After he let me see what kind he already had I found these and they were a perfect replacement. He said they worked better than his originals.
