I initially had trouble getting the valve attachment to fit on my tire stems. There appeared to be too much rubber inside the valve attachment. It took a while (and lots of pressure) to finally get it to fit, but now it seems to fit okay.The pump adds too much air to tires. Whatever pressure I set it to, it adds a couple extra pounds. Example: When I set it to 30.0 psi, it inflates the tire until its own digital readout says "31.5". (It's odd that the readout does not match the pressure I program with the buttons. Maybe the manufacturer thinks pressure will be lost when the user disconnects the valve attachment, so they add extra, but 1.5 lbs. is way too much.) When I double check the final pressure with two accurate gauges that I own, they both say "32.0"... so the final pressure is 2.0 psi above what I set on this tire pump.The activation of the pump is intermittent. When I add pressure to four tires, inflating the first tire is no trouble. But for the remaining tires, the on/off button works intermittently. I push it... I wait... nothing happens... I push it on and off again... I wait... nothing... and after a number of attempts, the pump motor finally starts up. For a device that turns itself off automatically, having a mechanical two-position on/off button is a design flaw. (The pump finishes pumping but the on/off button remains pressed, in the "on" position.) Also, there seems to be some required wait time between the steps of using this pump -- if you fail to pause long enough between steps, the pump will not activate.The included carrying bag doesn't feel very sturdy, but I didn't expect much, and at least they made it big enough to fit the unit without having to wedge it in.The cord that plugs into a cigarette lighter socket is probably long enough for most cars. The hose that goes between the pump and the tire valve stows away in an open compartment on the back of the unit, but it does not fit well.Given the inaccuracy and the finicky functionality, I returned the unit.Update:The next day after posting the above review, I was contacted by Helteko, the product maker. They offered to send a replacement unit at no charge, even though the refund process was already underway. Impressive.Helteko also noted the following in response to my review..."For the rubber problem it is the first time that a situation like this happens.Always make sure that the valve is open.The pressure should stop only 0.5PSI more, not 1.5 PSI.It is specially designed to inflate 0.5 PSI more, to stay with the desired pressure when disconnecting the compressor.On the other hand, as far as the power button is concerned, there will also have been a problem if it did not always light when it was pressed."Although I am still returning the unit, I am impressed with the way Helteko stands behind its product. (For that, I am increasing my rating to 3 stars.)Keep in mind that my unit might have had a defect. It happens sometimes with products. From what I see in reviews, many have purchased this pump and have been very happy with it. I believe you can order it with confidence to see if it serves your purposes. You've got Amazon's great return policy, and Helteko standing behind its product with pride.

I woke up to a flat tire, and on a Monday. I ended up working from home because it was -4 when I woke up and I didn't want to change my tire.I ordered this in the morning and got it at about 5pm the same day (your mileage may vary).I was nervous about my tire as it was pretty well flat, but this pumped it right up. It probably took it 4 or 5 minutes to get the tire to almost 30psi on my Ranger. The motor sounds strong and the power switch feels like it's going to last, that may sound weird but I've run into a few things like this where the power button almost falls off every time you use it. This seems pretty solid and did it's job well.The flashlight is pretty bright as well. I LOVE that it's a quick snap to lock on and not a twisting action, it always seems like you lose a pound or two of pressure removing those things. This is quick and easy, even in sub zero temperatures.

My old tire pump finally died (after 15 years) and I searched for a while for a new one. I like to keep one in the car just in case. Received this item promptly through Amazon prime. My husband finally had the opportunity to use it and he was really impressed. Inflated the tire quickly without hassle. You can set the pressure and it will turn off when has it inflated to the correct psi. I love that it come with great storage bag and it is compact and light. Very easy to store in the car. I would definitely recommend this purchase.

So far so good! I have not had it long enough to get a feel for how well it works, but it did pump an RV tire up to 76 pounds, though it did cut in and out which stopped when I held the power button all the way in. Will update in the future as I use it more.5/26/18-I upgraded this compressor to 5 stars, for it's usability and the customer service Helteko provides. The one I received above was damaged in shipping as it quit altogether after that use. They sent an immediate replacement and I've used it twice to inflate 6 truck tires to 80lbs, 4 car tires to 35lbs and 4 bicycle tires to 40lbs. The cutoff on the unit is within 2lbs of any of my tire gauges. It works like a champ and Helteko has your back-best customer service I've come across in years. Thank you Emma!

I really liked this product when I first purchased it, but unfortunately after my fourth use, the hose broke off and it is now inoperable. Since it is not something I use on a daily basis and it was not something that happened during the first couple of weeks of purchase, I no longer have the option of returning or exchanging it. It worked great while it lasted, but it turned out to be money wasted.Update: I am updating my previous review based on the excellent customer service provided when addressing the issue I had with my first pump. Within an hour of posting my original review, I was contacted to resolve my issue and my item was replaced. That alone will keep me as a customer. Thanks again for valuing me as a customer.

I am so pleased with this pump. It is a must have for every car out there. Out with the old bulky compressor in your garage. This is a compressor everyone can use , all it takes is two buttons its amazing. I pumped my tires in my SUV and Sedan with so much ease that I will buy 2 or 3 more of these, absolutely so handy love it. And so small that its almost the size of a phone. It also has a nifty flashlight and digital display in case of emergency when pumping at night. It will save you from so much trouble and money .

I had a small pump to keep tires inflated but it was 120V house current only. Decided to get this 12V pump so that it is always in car trunk. Now I can adjust pressure whenever I need -- like when I go to snow country and the temperature is 30 degrees colder leaving tires under-inflated. ALSO - Now I know that when I need my neglected spare tire due to flat, I can pump it up to the required 60 psi.This pump is great. I set the desired pressure and all four tires get perfectly inflated. So easy to use.

Here are my comments about my October 2019 purchase of the Helteko Air Compressor Model ATJ-1166S DC 12 V. When a small light box came from Canada Post I wondered whether it was my air compressor. When I opened the box I was happy to find a heavy duty, zippered case that housed the compact red air compressor. I used it immediately to recheck and top up my tires. The enclosed simple instructions served the purpose well and very soon I was putting the target air pressure values from the door frame of our van into the Helteko inflator. I had read other reviews of “high tire air pressure” after using the Helteko so I made sure I checked my tires twice with two different air pressure gauges. My tires were fine and I was very satisfied with how easy the whole process was. The long 12v cord made it easy to do both front and rear tires on the same side of the car without having to unplug the cord and the LCD display is easy to read.Also, there is a small bag of attachments that came in the inflator bag that you can use to fill a bike, soccer ball, air mattress, & two spare fuses which I found to be a very useful addition. Although, I check my tires regularly during daylight hours, I appreciate having the bright LED light built in on the end of the compressor, which will be handy in case I need to help out someone else at night. Another really significant attribute is that the inflator hose is able to be stored inside the cavity of the compressor.The Helteko air compressor Model ATJ-1166S is well constructed and very well thought out. The fact that it is compact and lightweight makes it easy to take with you and keep it in the car at all times.Robert Leni

Me funcionó a la perfección, lo utilice en una ruta de jeeps y me sorprendió la rapidez con la que infla los neumáticos , muy eficiente, es cierto que está sobrado y lo infla un poco de más , pero no le veo inconveniente a eso, malo fuera que lo inflara de menos .

An absolute waste of time. Very little power. Faster and easier to manually inflate items. Even a simple floatie was difficult to inflate with this. I cannot imagine it would work on a car tire. We are returning this item

Pumped up tire on car. Super easy to use. The digital display works great! Long cord is also a great feature.

Really good. Fills air quickly.
