For Hippies?
First of all, my head measures 22 1/2 inches around at the level of my temples running right around the level of my eye brows and I buz my hair every other day down to under 1/8th inch. This thing fits me just fine. I own about four but you probably only need one cause they wash in the sink in seconds and dry in about an hour. If its hot out, you can just leave it wet. I originally bought one of these at a bike shop for use in the fall and winter but they work well year round. They really help keep the sweat out of my eyes when mountain biking and they keep the sun from burning my head through the vent holes in my road helmet when I am out on the road bike. I don't know about closed helmet / hard hat use for summer but they would make great helmet liners in the winter for hard hats or even Kevlar helmets for military use. I don't know how they work with all you long haired hippies but for bald dudes they work great.

Functions well, a little large for me
First it does what it claims - protects against sun through the helmet vents, vents sweat and, keeps it from my eyes . Generally not noticeable at all during bike rides. I didn't want the hassle of tying long tails.Fit- For me, it is a little large. For it to fit well, I could pull it over my ears. That might be good in the early spring or fall, but not in warm weather. Still, a positive purchase. My hat size is 7-3/8, for reference.

Absolutely awesome!
I had no idea something like this could make such a difference in the amount of sweat running down my face and on my glasses. I put this to the test the day I got it since it was 90+ degrees outside with 75%+ humidity. Biking 90 minutes at a faster pace than I have done before, not 1 drop of sweat dripped on my glasses or ran down into my eyes. I am truly sold. I thought this would make my head hot under a helmet, but it keeps me cool and my face sweat free. I feel like an idiot for not getting something like this years ago. I thought my only option would be the old school sweat band that gets soggy.

Very good product
For reference, I wear a large helmet (medium is only just big enough for my head) and I have fairly short hair. I can fit this on my head but I would almost prefer something I tied in the back (saw something like that elsewhere on Amazon). Other than that it does exactly what I want it to do, which is keep my hair uniform so I don't get helmet hair. Also, I like the graphic design and I don't think it inhibits the wicking or air flow.

Overall Nice
The headsweats shorty skull cap fits great, just a little higher than other brands I have owned or still own. The while material keeps your head warm through the helmet openings and does a good job of keeping sweat out of my face and eyes. The only thing that I do not like is there is a triangle piece in the back that I assume is to pull sweat down and drip off the back of your neck or something but all it really does is ends up giving you a weird tan line on your neck. I end up tucking it under so it does not. I may eventually cut it off unless someone explains exactly what its purpose is.

Not as good as they used to be
They’ve cheaped out on these, not as nice as my old one and doesn’t absorb as much sweat. My old one has a terry band around the bottom that this one is missing. It’s tighter too. I can always tell the difference when I’m out on the trail between this one and my old one, which is Not a good thing. If I’m thinking about my gear, it’s not doing it’s job.

This works better than any other item I have purchased to keep ...
This works better than any other item I have purchased to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I have been happy on the cold days and even the days over 90 degrees (high desert summer temps in Utah). My only complaint is that there is some lettering in bright colors by the graphic that have bled a bit into the white. Not a big deal as it doesn't affect the performance or contribute majorly in appearance.

Does what it's supposed to do.
Fits better under my bike helmet than the version that ties in the back. I've used this on several rides, including a 150-miler last weekend. Never had a drop of sweat drip into my eyes, so it does the job well.
