Great device for quick graphics and mobile work though needs a disclaimer for left-handed dominant users
I believe I would have given 5 stars and said, "I love it," if it was more left-handed user friendly. In the image shown, that small oval button on the side of the pen - it's for right-clicking. The manual included states it's the left-button, but after using it for about 2 minutes, clearly it is not, for which I am grateful. I read the instructions and thought, "Oh no..." preparing to repackage and return, I decided to go into set-up to see if the buttons could be reassigned. They cannot, however, after about 10 seconds I realized the bottom-most button nearest the infrared tip is in fact the left-click button, which sits under the index finger whether you're right or left-handed.The issue is for normal mousing - I use my right, so no problem there, but when I write, draw and do graphic design work, I'm using my left. I was looking for a quick replacement for a pen tablet, without a huge investment while I decide which one I want to buy. This will do, however when it comes time to draw or design, I switch the pen mouse to my left hand and well, now that oval thumb-button is essentially under the ring finger of my left hand. Usable? Mmmmyeah... sorta. I suppose one could simply see it as a learning curve of either holding the pen differently, moving the middle finger up to click or engaging the ring finger for applications, but since I'm drawing, I don't really want to have to figure out how to perform the same artistry with a different grip on the device. No, the button does not feel odd under the fingers so much so as to make it odd for design work.I really do like the device and given the price - it's a clear winner. I also always have my phone or tablet next to me so I do like the fact that the stylus is just a flip away. I'm also used to working with pen mice so I'm stating this part, because I read another review of this pen mouse where the user said, she liked it, but found the process of having to put the device down to resume typing, and then pick it up again which moved the pointer, to be annoying. As someone who regularly uses devices such as these, you don't put them down, the pen stays in your fingers, horizontal to the keyboard, between your middle finger, under index, and over thumb. When you're done typing, you simply rotate the pen into position and begin mousing/drawing.A little more cumbersome with this particular device as it's thicker than an average pen, but doable. Though perhaps difficult if you have small hands. Also as a note to other users for graphics work and drawing/ freehand drafting - I did have to go into mouse settings and slow down the speed of the pointer. I had it at max, because I like as little movement as possible corner to corner, but with this device I found it better for drawing to slow it to just below half speed for maximum technique as a digital pen.How easy is this device to use? FedEx dropped it off at 1:20pm, I had it unboxed, plugged in and working by 1:25 and figured out the above by 1:32. I then logged into Amazon to leave feedback. It's 1:39pm. For me - that makes this device extremely easy to use and user friendly for set up and learning. Also do love the fact that the infrared tip is usable on multiple surfaces, not just a mouse pad or tablet. Makes my mobile working much easier!I feel this was a wise investment!

Good starter Pen Mouse
I love the idea of a pen mouse! Much more ergonomic than a standard mouse. Took a couple days to get used to it, but after that its great and I will never go back to a regular mouse. The cons to this item is that it has a very SHORT BATTERY life. If you use it full time, be prepared to always have extra batteries handy and try to turn the pen off as often as possible. Second, it is made of cheap plastic, I've had it four months, I'm not sure how long the hardware will last. Third, there isn't a place to store the USB drive inside the pen as you would have with a regular remote mouse.Despite the cons, I still love the pen mouse and will continue to use. Even if I have to upgrade to a higher quality/price brand. This is a good one to start with to decide if a pen mouse is for you.

Absolutely Top-Rated in my Pen Mouse Experience
Stunningly nice. It works equally well with or without a "mouse pad," which means it gives me much easier use than the touchpad on my laptop and much more versatility than a conventional mouse. I can use it on my jeans while riding (NOT driving) in the car. I can even use it on my own skin, reclined on my side while doing my computer work in the comfort of my own bed. This feels like a luxury, promising decadent freedom from the office! It is just the right size and shape to travel, its subtly different shape offers a comparably more natural balance in my hand, and it does turn itself off if not used for a span of time, an oft-overlooked little feature which conserves the AA battery for the time when it's actually needed! The stylus feature is a nice touch (no pun intended), offering more precise selection while navigating on my touch pad or phone. As a significant bonus, this pen mouse is very attractive, even "fancy looking," at least a full step nicer than any other pen mouse I have bought or used (including almost all on Amazon). My daughter saw mine and now wants one. If the pen mouse she currently uses quits, I'll probably buy her one of these, but believe me, I haven't told her that! :-)

Great bang for your buck
I started using this pen immediately after it arrived yesterday and I love it! It's perfect for image editing and allows greater dexterity and precision than a regular mouse - long term, I hope it will help prevent the arm pain I get from doing this kind of repetitive task work. The buttons took a bit of time to get used to (particularly the thumb's left click mouse button) but it starts to feel natural after a bit of use. For the $15 price tag, I couldn't have asked for more and wish I'd bought one sooner. Even if it craps out in a few months I'll consider buying another.

Great for the price and to potentially alleviate pain.
I'm a graphic artist specialist and have spent over a decade using numerous drawing applications. I bought this to potentially alleviate wrist pain but ended up going with a more expensive wired version that's sold on Amazon.Pros:1) Low Price.2) Wireless responsiveness is good but probably not for gaming.3) Alleviates some symptoms of hand and wrist stress.4) Light weight.Cons:1) Some getting used to it.2) The button placement is fixed. I have a tendency to grab pens near the base which makes it probably more difficult for me to use than others.3) The middle mouse button does not tilt left/right and does not press down. Only for scrolling.

Can't get it open to insert the battery
I like the concept of the product but in order to use the product you have to be able to get it open to insert the AAA battery. Took 3 people and finally a screwdriver to pry open the door to the battery compartment. In the process we disfigured the housing. Hopefully those same people will be around when its time to change the battery. The item does work well but unless you've get strong fingers I'd select another model.
