The Saga of Eric the Viking
Magical book, similar to the Odyssey.Lots of ageless lessons of courage, truth, and comradeship, mixed with ogres, magic and wizards. All while on a great search for where the sun sets. Great lessons for kids, and reminders for adults.

My daughter loved it
Nothing more to say as I don’t want to state any of the story for people that may want to read it. It was a good read, even engaging for the adult that had to read it aloud every night.

... this book as a child and it's still as fantastic as I remember
First read this book as a child and it's still as fantastic as I remember. Terry Jones is a genius. I highly recommend this book for children and adults.

Highly recommended for class novel in lower KS2
My Y4 class of mixed ability 17 boys 7 girls loved this book. Great for character profiling and plot twists. Highly recommended to hold children's interest. The short chapter format meant the SEN pupils could recall the whole event and access vocabulary beyond their current reading capabilities.

Book purchase
Good quality assured and paid for but very poor quality received so returned with great dissatisfaction! Update: refund finally agreed and paid. Very disappointing that it took hours of hassle to achieve my due.

fantastic book
For both adults and children over 11-12. Beautifully written and with many layers. Very Homeric in many ways, great for teachers too I would guess

A good read for a 9+ yr old
Read as a teacher when studying the Vikings in school. Each short chapter is like a ‘mini -story’ so it is easy to pick up and put down. Fairly repetitive but a nice introduction into adventure books!
