Wright Products V99, Sash Hangers, Zinc Plated, 1 Count (Pack of 1)

Used these to hang storm windows during recent hurricane lane in Hawaii. We expected hurricane force winds 100+ mph, but luckily, the winds died down. It was then predicted that we could experience 74 mph gusts, but the strongest gusts that we actually encountered here where I live was about 45-50 mph (my guess). The sash hangers held. I'm not completely confident with these hangers for stronger winds because the "lip" that connects the two hardware pieces is not very long. It may or may not hold with rattling/vibrations from really strong wind, I just don't know. The hanging storm window would have to be really secure to prevent movement, and then it would hold. The screws included in the package are a little too short for my liking but easily corrected by using longer screws.

These sash hangers are great! I found an old window screen in the shed behind my 1940’s house and it had a similar sash hanger still attached. Inspired by the relic, I handmade all new window screens and these were the perfect piece of hardware to complete the project. The price was right too (although it’s increased since then)!

Once these brackets are installed, they are a great aid to getting your wooden storm windows off and on the building ...recommend you have the storm window in place before installing the hanger ... makes lining things up a lot easier
