Into the Game! (Minecraft Woodsword Chronicles #1)

My son was skeptical about reading this, even though he loves Minecraft. He doesn’t love to read, so I’ve been on a mission to find books he actually WANTS to read, because I think reading for enjoyment is important. Once he actually read a chapter or two, he became interested and finished it quickly—then asked to read the next book. :) That’s why this earns a 5 star rating from me!

My son absolutely loves Minecraft, so we got him this for Christmas this year. Each night, we would read one or two chapters together and he absolutely loved it. He's 6 and was able to follow along nicely, although I would think this book is for kids maybe 8-10 or so. Regardless, he looked forward to bedtime each night so we could continue the story.We'll be buying the other books in the series to see where the kids story goes.

My 8 year old is a Mine Craft junkie. It has not gotten better during the Pandemic. I bought this book to get him away from the screens, and will buy the others in the series. Cute, well-written, my kiddo loves it.

I bought the first four in the series and he read one a day so we were out of books again 4 days later. He loves them and talked nonstop about the story. He's even reread each one at least once at this point. My only complaint is that they aren't that long. I cannot afford to buy a book at day at this price.

This was a gift so the review is not regarding content. Unfortunately the book arrived and I didn’t really look at it until it was time to wrap it. The pages are all cut wrong and as the book goes on the pages are hanging out of the book. Not how I usually want to send a gift but it was too late to try and replace. Not sure if this is a one time issue but when yours arrives give it a look!

Buy this for the anti-reader on your home! My 7 year old son can't stand reading. He would rather do chores than sit down and read a book. After seeing reviews on this book, I didn't totally believe that my kid was going to be sold on reading. To my surprise, he voluntarily read the book. He LOVED it! He enjoyed it so much that he asked me if I would buy the 2nd book in the series. If you have a child in your home who avoids reading, don't lose hope until you've tried this book. If your son or daughter already loves minecraft, then this book will most likely win them over!

My 6.5 year old loves these books. They are the perfect level for my first grader.

My 8yr old son loves this book. He read through 4 chapters in a day and doesn't want to put it down.

My daughter found this a bit disappointing, it took quite a while for it to get into the 'Minecraft' bit and then once it did, it seemed to come out of it again quite quickly. I understand it needs to set the scene but I think it needs to be more Mincrafty at the beginning to really hold the attention of those reluctant readers.

Bought this for my Minecraft obsessed just turned 7yo son as Xmas present, along with tablet and of course the game itself. It took a bit of convincing to start the book, I read him the first chapter or 2 (until the moment the characters went into the game) and he was hooked! I told him if he wanted to find out what happened next he needed to read it himself.. That night he read almost 80 pages! Every single book had the same effect and now he's impatiently waiting for another book from the second saga. His reading improved immensely very quickly, and he's eagerly reading other novels too at only 7. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

This is from my 10 year old son who is a vociferous reader and who also loves Minecraft: "It was more adventurous than funny and it was 100% Minecraft. It described exactly what my school would be like if more people in it loved Minecraft. It leaves the story on a cliffhanger at the end."

These have gone down so well with my grandson. He is crazy about anything minecraft. He is having fun getting them read for him. I ordered 3 and they arrived well wrapped and in excellent condition.

My 8 year old son is a big fan of this series of books so thrilled to get the next in the series. Written in the style of the treehouse books which he enjoys reading. Nice easy read with lots of pictures.
