nice cot
My parents have three adult children who have left the nest. When we visit, there are no places to sleep other than couches. Perhaps this gift was a little self-serving but I like having something that is moderately comfortable (it is a cot so moderately comfortable is a compliment)to sleep on. The cot came quickly and was very easy to put together (literally, 1) unfold cot 2) place mattress on top of cot). This Blantex model appealed to me because it had extra support beams in the middle. I wanted to be sure that the cot could support individuals of varying weights. My brother (who is over 200 lbs and 6 ft) has slept on this cot multiple times with no complaints regarding comfort. I have no complaints regarding its durability. It has the capacity to withstand individuals of varying weights without wear and tear. Since my purchase a year ago, the cot has probably been used 20-25 times and the mat is still in good shape and the frame strong. The cot folds up easily for storage in a closet (and possibly under a bed if the bed is tall enough). For longer camping trips, I would buy one of these in a heartbeat if I knew I had the space to transport it. It is a little bulky but you are getting a transportable bed, which beats a sleeping bag.

Blantex XK-3 Beds
These beds are exactally what we are looking for. I love the four legs, which make them stable on sloped ground. My husband and I are both over 6 foot tall. The width of these allow plenty of room to move around without hitting the frame. The pad is very comfortable, and looks to be very durable. I like the metal spring system, which will be durable for many years to come and the springs can be replaced with in need be unlike material based cots. If the material rips, your are in trouble. I used beds like these years ago, and then went to the inflatable matresses. The air beds make you hot and don't always hold the air. I'm so glad to be back in cots. These provide under the bed storage( we camp with a lot of gear, 3 children and two dogs) and all our gear and dogs fit well underneath. I do wish they were a little taller, maybe 3 or 4 inches. The are a little heavy, but for the comfort and design, it's a fair trade. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a superior night sleep while "roughing it". Just one more note, we will be using these when our hunting party comes in too!!!!!

great nights sleep
I bought this bed for my 6ft son who was visiting from out of state...I would have given it a 5 star review but for the mattress which was good but could have been a bit thicker. It is made of a heavy foam material. It may be that the mattress has to be a certain thickness to allow the cot to fold up . It is easily stored anywhere. That said this fold up bed is awesome..it's length was perfect for my 6ft son....the mattress is pretty firm and comfortable but I did fold a heavy quilt underneath it and that gave it less give...The cot has a metal spring base for the mattress and the " legs " fold out and create a very stable bed.I used twin size mattress pad and sheets on it and they fit really well ..My son gave it a thumbs up for comfort . He slept like a baby.....

Great for a guest or a quick portable bed
Overall the Blantex bed arrived well built and could easily be transformed into a bed. The provided mattress pad is thin but surprisingly comfortable. However, the height of the unit is very low to the ground. For me being young it is ok but my grandfather had a much harder time using the bed. The build quality is excellent and very stable. I am 5 ft 9 and could fit on the bed without my feet dangling off the bed. If you are looking for a bed that is portable ie camping, etc this bed unit is heavy and quite large even in its folded position. I do not know if this is something you would want to really lug around your camp site. I think this is a great unit for the under 200 dollar price tag.

Fold up Beds
I was disappointed with how cheaply made this product is. I purchased two for visiting grandchldren, they are 8 year old twins. It served the purpose for sleeping, but not before collapsing twice when they laid on them. They did not abuse these beds, such as jumping on them like kids do sometimes. No one with any weight could use them because of the cheaply made construction. The medal strap that hooks them together when they are folded up can be bent very easily and had to be straightened out everytime I tried to close the beds up. There is no locking device on the legs to keep them from collapsing when someone is laying on the bed. The mattress is very thin and I had to use fiber bed mattress toppers on the mattresses for comfort. There are sharp edges on the medal pieces that form the frame. They are most definitely not heavy duty as the description states. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

A very good cot
I used this while waiting for my furniture to be moved in. Got here quickly, easy for me to handle, arrived ready to use! Very well made, sturdy. It will store easily under my regular bed, ready for younger family guests. Overall comfort is probably 5 stars for most folks but I'm older & have end-stage arthritis so the natural suspension of the link springs placed my body lower in the middle of the mattress than at the edges where the rigid frame is. On my side, this positioned my knees at too high an angle for my pain level. If you're healthy then the slight "sagging" is probably not uncomfortable. A very good product.

Just what I was looking for!
I purchased this bed to use temporarily while my home goes through a transition period. I have slept on it every night for weeks and it is nice and sturdy! It opens and closes quickly and easily and is easy to move for cleaning! I am rather big so the only thing that I see that could make this a better bed would be alittle more width! My arms need to be tucked in to avoid them dropping off the sides! Also regular twin sheets work well, a bit loose but at least they stay on! This bed is everything that is written in the description!

Nice..but too soft
Serves as a very good bed for guests, and takes up very little space. It is 75% less wide than a twin bed, which is okay for occasional use. Takes up very little area and has a strong structureThe drawback is that it has a spring structure, which is too cushiony and makes the bed very soft and it goes down quite a bit making it somewhat uncomfortable
