These brushes are very soft. They state they are real hair, which is a great value as other companies charge well over $200-300. There is no way to tell for sure so I am taking the companies word for it. I like the texture on the brushes, the foundation brush is too soft for my liking so I use them for mostly powder items. The eye brushes are wonderful and blend beautifully.

i use them daily. wash once in awhile

The so-called NATURAL squirrel FUR turned out to be 100% synthetic.I am offended by such act.
