A GOOD SHOPPING EXPERIENCE
I bought the padded short last week, and tried it today. It works well after I fallen down several times on the snow ground. Luckily,my butt was good with the pads,I really love it so I want to share a review to help other guys to ensure is this padded shorts fit your butt!!I have a 35'' waist, and i chose the XL, it really fits me pretty good and given a kindly protection of my butt, tailbone and hip.Pros:1. Perfect protection on hips and backside. 2. Comfortable, light and good mobility and fits well. 3. Easy to put on and put off. 4. Nice material and good price.CONS:Velcro may sticker your other clothes.I think the quality and price is very worthy to buy, and I will update the review if I have the new experience.

Fell hard and did not feel it in the tailbone
Decent shorts. I bought these because the higher rated shorts would take 2 weeks to arrive, and I needed these in 2 days. With a tailbone still smarting from a fall one year ago (i.e. suspect I broke it, not just bruised it) I took several hard falls in these shorts, but felt no pain and no increased discomfort in the tailbone afterwards. Again, I think there are heavier duty shorts out there, but these saved my #$% literally. By the way, I do not know that the references to "women's shorts" in the other reviews are accurate. I did buy these one size bigger, but other than that, they did not seem extra roomy in the hips (unless I have child bearing hips and did not know it;) ), plus they have a velcro fly, which I don't think are used for women.

Protective but snug
Definitely works and provides protection for "tailbone" and upper side thighs. If you're an American XL, you must get XXL, problem is, if you're at the top of the XL range, then even XXL will be snug, but workable. XXXL would be better, but they don't seem to make them, remember if you're using them for cold weather, they are going over at least one if not two other "under" garments.

good protection.
For a teen girl snowboarder it did its job, not too bulky. No butt bruises or tailbone injury on icy riding conditions.

Well made, nice fit
These seem to have the best fit of all the shorts I tried on. The padding is substantial, but also soft and sleek. I'm looking forward to seeing how it holds up to protect my tailbone on the slopes this year!

If you are using these shorts every once in a while this is a good pair of pads for the money
Product had a small rip in it right out of the box but luckily it did not expand and the shorts were still wearable. I am 6' 190 and ordered the XXL for snowboarding which was a little tight in the waist and the crotch; Velcro would not connect, but manageable. You definitely want to wear long johns or shorts under as the stitching will rub on your skin. Would have given four stars if the product was not ripped. If you are using these shorts every once in a while this is a good pair of pads for the money; if you're going to use all season or fall hard on you butt a lot I would invest in a better pair.
