Brought starlings into my garden to feed 😡
Really don't rate these. I bought these and some others that were £3 cheaper at the same time to compare (very glad I did!). This one turned up with 2 of them flattened, which fell to bits when I took them out. AND these brought starlings down to feed off of them I have NEVER seen starlings feed from my garden, they normally hang around the roofs making a ruddy noise, and making a mess on my path and door mat with their combined no 1s and 2s. I am not a fan of babybird killing, home wrecking, lazy can't be bothered to make their own nest birds! So cuckoos, magpies and starlings are not welcome in my garden! I like to help feed the hard working mummy and daddy songbirds like sparrows, blackbirds and Robins to name the ones I see regularly in my garden, and they all turned their nose up at these but loved the much cheaper ones . . . . Which I really can't complain about 😁🐣🐥

Arrived in crumbs
Brilliant projects but 8 of the balls arrived a mass of crumbs

Dry and unappetising
I put out 3 of the Chunky Dumpling fat balls first thing in the morning. They were still there and intact late evening. Even the starlings refused to eat them. The balls themselves are very dry and hard. I bought the same product last year and the birds loved them. These don't look the same and are such a disappointment. Waste of money.

Having been recommended by our local nature reserve
Having been recommended by our local nature reserve, I tried these - and was disappointed. They are relatively expensive, but on delivery it was clear they are a very crumbly mix which does not come out of the packaging as a ball - more a shower of varying sized crumbs. The birds ( and squirrels!) seem to eat them, but I could not recommend them.I will be sticking with what I think are the gold standard fat balls - Vine House Farm super balls, which all my garden birds love, are made of a highcalibre fat mix, and when you buy VHF send a percentage to the Wildlife Trusts. No brainer.

The only fat ball my birds will eat
I've tried a number of fat balls and my fussy birds (coal tits, great tits, blue tits, long tailed tits and tree sparrows) weren't keen on any of them. I came across chunky dumplings by accident and bought them for their name as much as anything else and my birds LOVE them. They get through at least 1 every couple of days and yesterday I had 38 assorted small birds fighting over the new ones seconds after I put them out. I've had to put in a second fat ball feeder to keep up with demand!! Since I've been using them I've attracted green, gold and bullfinchs too.

Great Balls, Badly Packaged
While there is no argument that these suet balls do seem a cut above anything I've put out for the birds before and they were straight on them as soon as they were put out. I sit and watched birds a lot and ones I know never touched previous suet balls seemed keen to have a peck..... HoweverOnly getting 2 star as I ordered a 48 pack a good 10 of the suet balls turned up falling to bits and most not able to be used in my ball feeder.I'm guessing this is a result of transport by amazon however the box didn't look like it had been treated badly I do think it's up to the seller/manufacturer to send these in something sturdier than a cardboard box and thin plastic bags each containing 6 balls.Paid a premium price for these and expect them ALL to arrive intact to me, not opening to find 20% unusable..... Being bashed about a bit while in transit should be expected by the manufacturer so really should come in a bucket to protect them.

Expensive and crumbly
Sorry but these balls are very crumbly and fell to pieces in the rain after the squirrels had attacked them also they were expensive. I had bought them because they were not in net or plastic.
