Defenitly a life saver for this near sighted vacationer!
Wonderful! While in Hawaii I lost a very expensive pair of bifocal gradient glasses to a rough wave that literally ripped them off my face. Fortunately I was able to have my Optometrist fax over my prescription to a local franchise for a new pair but I also ordered this Floating Eyewear Retainer. While I don't care for the built in "Case" these certainly saved my new glasses from another accident.Since I don't wear contacts that was not a possibility for me and as my vision is so horrible I am uncomfortable swimming without being able to see more than 10 - 20 feet in front of me which made these well worth purchasing and were not as expensive as I might have thought. Some reviewers didn't like the length but I found them perfect, I could leave the glasses on without any pressure to the back of my neck or head and yet when they threatened to come off the length was short enough not to be able to come off from my head entirely. These do work better with a thicker optical ear piece. I never lost them off my head but did pre-test them in the ocean between waves to insure they remained afloat and was not disappointed. I'm not sure how the other colors would work but the yellow showed up wonderfully in the ocean.

Did not quite fit my glasses
First of all, it did not fit my glasses. I was not aware that you needed fairly thick glasses for this to fit. It was so loose on mine that it would detach just from gravity. Speaking of gravity, the foam part in the back is way too heavy. It would pull my glasses back against my face and make it feel really uncomfortable on the bridge of my nose. The only redeeming factor is that it is a floating device in case your glasses fall off in water. I've gotten the chance to use it. It gives me peace of mind while paddle boarding, but seems so uncomfortable that it was almost not worth the trouble of putting it on. 3/5 for fitting and design.

It saved my glasses!!!
This product is awesome! I did the Warrior Dash last year and when I did the Goliath obstacle my glasses flew off and sank to the bottom. Luckily the official was kind enough to jump in and find them. Because of that moment I bought this product. This year during the dash my glasses flew off after I completed the same obstacle, but instead of sinking to the bottom my glasses floated right to the top! I bought the orange one so it was very easy to spot. This product is worth every penny especially considering how much my glasses cost. I would absolutely recommend this product!

Floating retainer gets the job done.
I am not in love with this eyeglass strap, but I like it. It does its job well in a utilitarian sense. This strap will float a pair of sunglasses - having tried it with metal and plastic framed glasses. It is a little bulkier than I think it needs to be in terms of the straps, and is almost too heavy, particularly when wet. The neoprene absorbs sweat and sunscreen, so it will be interesting to see how long I go before needing to seriously clean it.If you're worried about style, these look ok on both men and women (my wife has them too). I prefer this look to the giant rubber float that some companies run their strap through. Neither of us has used the wrap around feature to protect the glasses, as we generally wear them or have them around our neck.I purchased it to make sure I didn't lose my sunglasses if and when they fall off out on the water, and these will do the trick. I do not do high speed sports on the water, so the red coloration is not a problem for me, however, if I were on a jet ski and lost these, it might be a bit harder to spot the red at a distance before I could get turned around. All in all, I would recommend these without reservation.

Floats!
This seems to work as described. I tested in a big soup pot before getting on the stand up paddle board. I will keep the length attached to the arms of the glasses even when glasses are wrapped in the case. Not sure the glasses would stay in the case if the kayak turned over. See pictures. I wear reading glasses and sunglasses - lots of eyewear with which to keep up!

the colored floating mechanism (I have the green one) is easily stained from sweat if you wear the glasses often
This product works well to keep your glasses floating. However, the colored floating mechanism (I have the green one) is easily stained from sweat if you wear the glasses often. I contacted the manufacturer about this and never received a response back. I was honestly just looking for cleaning suggestions or any feedback but received nothing. Customer support goes a long way and this company doesn't seem to grasp that.

Yes, it floats
I tried it on my Maui Jim Flexon sunglasses. They are frameless and light. The yellow float sits on top of the water. My sunglasses did not sink to the bottom of the pool. The yellow looks like a skiny banana on top of the water. The yellow part is neoprene (like a wetsuit material) rolled up from either side with the strap attached. The paper that came with it said I can stow my sunglasses inside the neoprene, but it is rolled up so tight I can't do this very easily. I didn't buy it for a sunglasses case. I bought it for a float. The float is bulky. It sits on the top of my back. It is bit big, bulky and not very comfortable on my back. Yes, it works as a float, but the bulkiness, thickness is not not very comfortable on my back or neck for long periods of time.It is strictly for beach time and not really suitable for long term wear due to it rests on my back and it think, bulky and not that comfortable on my skin. But, it does float alright like it is supposed to.

Nice concept, but a bit awkward at first
I ordered this mainly because it floats and doubles as a protective wrap for the eyewear. I needed something to protect a the lenses on a pair of prescription sunglasses while they weren't on my head at the campground, etc., and the hard-shell case that came with the glasses is just too cumbersome to carry around. It took me a bit to figure out how to make the wrap encompass my glasses and stay put, as it kind of wants to pop back to its strap state. I haven't tried them on another pair of glasses, so it could be that my glasses are a bit too big. I finally figured out how to make it stay put, and the only time I use it is when I'm on the water, so it does what it's supposed to.
